64squares
I've always wanted Eli's Ladder before and never got my hands on it, so I watched the auction below very carefully. The seller's name though made me wonder if its real or not. I did send a message to the seller, and he said he got it from an American 10 years ago. I asked him if it was a reproduction or not, and his reply was that he felt it was genuine based on so much interest in it. Anyone who actually has Eli's care to say if its real? Wonder? CPU? If it is real, whoever got it got a great deal in my opinion. Congrats. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 321144029623
bennybingo
It's tough to say without seeing under the hood. The printing seems a tad bit different than the other scans I have looked at, but ink tends to degrade differently on different carts...depending on external environmental factors (heat, cold, light, moisture, etc.). The truth is, the cart is fairly easy to knock-off, as that type of shell is readily available...the board inside would be the tricky part. Who knows...maybe someone knows the seller and could vouch for the authenticity. It would be cool if another legit copy was found after all these years. Mayhem
Based on the auction photos, the end label has come off since...
roadrunner
I don't know why people just don't glue the end labels back on instead of throwing them away, if that's what happened to it.
roadrunner
It got relisted. Not sure if it's the same one, the pictures are different from the last listing. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FElis-Ladder-Atari-2600-Unbelievably-Rare-10%2F221247701649%3F_trksid%3Dp2045573.m2042%26_trkparms%3Daid%253D111000%2526algo%253DREC.CURRENT%2526ao%253D1%2526asc%253D27%2526meid%253D8798136882362639765%2526pid%253D100033%2526prg%253D1011%2526rk%253D1%2526sd%253D221247701649%2526
DeusExMachina
I'm skeptical regarding this one. I will have to compare the pics to mine to know if the item in the picture is authentic. However, there is a scammer in Germany who uses similar descriptions when selling rare video games.
