foft
Hi Dylan, Did you put sdflash.bin in there?

I see on google (mentioned in one release page) that it has something to do with profile support, but there is no link to it, or other explanation. Thanks for helping, foft! Blues76
@foft Hi. Thank you for doing this. I have been following the thread but I haven’t done anything. Today, with newer boards, what would you recommend me to buy to work on this? Should I still use the DE-1 or do you recommend other options ? In here http://www.64kib.com/autobuild/20200603/mist/ Put it in the atari800/rom folder. Might need to press f11 and select screen mode. http://www.64kib.com/redmine/projects/eclairexl/wiki/Setting_video_mode Edited November 15, 2020 by foft

For a multi-device take a look at the mist, mister and turbo chameleon.
+remowilliams
I highly recommend the MiSTer if you're going multi system.

Not having an Eclaire, I didn't realize those instructions also applied to the MIST. F11 + V set it to VGA, and I'm now looking at a friendly menu. Thanks so much! I can now boot to the core, and set the VGA mode, but I can't figure out how to load a disk. I used to go into the MIST OSD menu to select one. I see F8+Enter is supposed to launch a prompt, but I'm not seeing that happen. Oddly, I'm getting "Internal server errors" on a lot of the links in the Eclaire wiki right now. Thanks I’m aware there is a mister forum. I was looking at some links that recommend the pieces that one need (de-10 nano board, etc.) https://www.retrorgb.com/mister.html https://hothardware.com/reviews/mister-diy-console-fpga https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Main_MiSTer/wiki Im going to follow what I found but if you or anyone has recommendation, they are welcome. dylanmc
Things are working great, except colors seem off in some games, and the game Sea Dragon's horizontal scrolling is jerkier than on the original machine. http://atariprojects.org/2019/05/18/play-sea-dragon-on-your-atari-8-bit-computer-15-60-mins/ Here's a video of it running more smoothly: Edited November 17, 2020 by dylanmc

Silly me: I thought modern multisync monitors & VGA took that off the table, but I understand that when emulating this old hardware, it's still a factor. I'm using NTSC settings, and it's connected to a NEC multisync monitor via VGA on the MIST.
dgreefhorst
I bought a SiDi MIST clone, but the atari800 core leads to a black screen, and a return to the menu. Any idea what could cause this? I have upgraded to the latest firmware, put a800xl.rom in the root of the SD card, and tried previous versions of the atari800 core with the same result. I also tried F11 + V, putting a settings file in atari800/rom and putting sdflash.bin in atari800/rom.
