JacobZu7zu7
Welcome to Sochi, Russia Time has come again for the Atari 2600 Winter Olympics ''2014''. There will be 4 games played total, the winter sports titles for the Atari 2600. The games played will be, Ice Hockey (judged by highest total earned and biggest blowout) Skiing Mogul Maniac Winter Games Every individual game available on Winter Games will be counted in competition. Slalom Bobsled Ski Jump Biathlon Speed SkatingHot DogLuge Your job before the Olympics is to "claim" what country you want play for, and you will represent that country! It's "3" people per country, if a team is full (3), you must choose another country! YOUR ODDS OF A WINNING TEAM ARE STRONGER IF YOU TEAM UP WITH SOMEONE ELSE. This contest will run on the first day of the Olympics to the end. So the 2600 Winter Games will begin Feb 7th and ends Feb. 23rdSet all the games on default aka 1 B/B. Also hardware used can be Atari 2600, 7800, and emulation. Of course no cheating of any kind. Any questions ask below. Thanks SCORING Gold Medal = 5 points, 1st Silver Medal = 3 points, 2nd Bronze Medal = 2 points, 3rd Edited January 20, 2014 by JacobZu7zu7

Gorfy
I'm horrific at these Olympic-style games, but I'd like to test the waters as team Tibet. They reportedly place an emphasis on cooperative work ethic as opposed to competitive strife Edited January 20, 2014 by Gorfy

Gorfy
Team Tibet is open to new membership, provided that prospective members realize that my scores alone will likely drag the team down to last place.

Gorfy
AWESOME, Gamerguy and Vocelli!!! Tibet has a full team now OK, I got two weeks or so to figure out how to get a score other than "FAULT" on the Ski Jump event........ In the mean time, heat up some yak milk and barley tea, and join me in the Himalayas

Gorfy
@gamerguy -- That's a good idea: I'll have to do a search for videos of the ski jump event! The contest doesn't start until Feb 7th and ends Feb 23rd. I'm not sure if we're posting scores here or if Jake is going to start a different thread when the time comes.
