+JAC!
At the end of January I delivered a 35 minutes presentation about the VCS, its history and architecture and how to code for it using WUDSN IDE. Especially the live coding part was very appreciated by the audience. Changing a single line of code and seeing immediately what happens brings you as close a possible to the machine. The recording of the presentation is now available on my youtube channel. The slides (PDF) and the sources can be downloaded from here. I recommend you open the slides in parallel, so you can read the content and code correctly. Thanks to Julien for the event and SvOlli for the slide templates.Nothing new for most people who have already found their way into this forum probably, but maybe something you can share with others to givem an idea esp. how a full roundtrip "code, compile, run" can look like. And sorry for spelling it "two thousand six hundert" instead of "twenty six hundered". I German we only count that way up to 1999 :-) Edited February 12, 2014 by JAC!

+JAC!
One year after the English presentation I now also gave a German presentation at Digital Retro Park. This time the focus is more on the limits of the machine and how the programmers learnt to use it better over the years. Also intentionally no coding is included. And because German is my native language, I give way more details than in the previous edition ... and exceed the planned presentation time by factor 3 :-) So just in case some German speaking folks are hanging out here, here are the details: http://www.wudsn.com/index.php/productions-atari2600/tutorials

+JAC!
In the first video, yes. Bought it from you at the ABBUC JHV some years ago and it's one of my favorite shirts for sure :-)
DJ Vollkasko
Too bad I missed your presentation at "Atari: die Guten Jahre / The good years"! Here's the link to the Facebook event with another (?) video of it: https://www.facebook.com/events/643699749091821 Digital Retro Park put up a lot of the exhibits on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/digitalretropark, for all Atari-lovers who couldn't make it to Oftenbach in February. Hmh, now that I think of it--I'm not sure if I've seen anything about the exhibition at AtariAge.com. It was really fascinating--from the original Pong game to arcade games, consoles and all sort of controllers, plus the home computers, everything was set up accessible and ready to use. Or rather, play. Fun stuff! In Fall, they hope to open a museum in Offenbach with digital entertainment and computing gear of yesteryear. A cool project! (And no surprise many of the volunteers behind Digital Retro Park are also involved with the annual Bended Realities Festival with Maker Faire http://bendedrealities.blogsport.de in Offenbach am Main, Germany.)
