I have found some kind of compatibility issue of game pack under Wine environment. Especially skin interface does not work under Wine. :(

But most functions work fine. I will upload more screenshots soon.

I'm looking at an idea that will give the Gamebase a unique feature IF a certain item can work the way I hope...

Would you be more specific, please?

I'm hoping that Altirra will be able to load cheat files from a command line, there's loads of cht files out there and I'll be happy to make more, so you easily add an option to run the game with cheats active IF it can be done.

Down to Phaeron if its built in already or he feels like adding it?

Game pack V1.03b now runs perfectly on Ubuntu via Wine! :) Click here to see the guide.

(I think it will also work fine on Mac OSX via Wine...)

1.03a seems to work fine on Mac OS/Mavericks using the commercial wine-derivative called Crossover. Options to install Jet and MDAC are built-in to the Crossover application. Make a new "bottle", install Jet and MDAC, copy the unarchived folder somewhere and run it. Sound can sometimes get a bit stuttery on my early Mac mini but it runs just fine on my 12 month old iMac.

A quick question regarding the updates (1.03, 1.03a, 1.03b, etc.).

Are the updates incremental? i.e. Do I just download the 1.1GB 1.03 file, then apply 1.03b or do I need to apply 1.03a first?

Does 1.03b contain everything from the 1.03a update?

Is the 1.1GB file updated to the latest version as newer updates appear, or is the main file left at 1.03?

It would be really cool to have a "check for updates" button in the application at a future revision, which could then go off and download the incremental updates automatically.

I hope the games can still run on an ordinary 800XL setup, with the 1mb Ultimate upgrade and SIO2SD device - this is the setup I have which Lotharek kindly upgraded at Sillyventure 2k13 in Poland :) Is it just a case of copying the game images onto the SD card ?
