BoroPaul
So I just noticed on ebay a four switch CX-2600A for sale with the box, but the photo on the box showed what looks like a heavy sixer with only four switches? Did this ever exist? They didn't have photoshop back then.
Botbird208
I've always noticed that but never said anything about it. There is no heavy 4 switch, the cover was probably a drawing or perhaps a proto console. Edited July 18, 2014 by Botbird208
BigO
I've seen a few mentions of it on the forums here over the years, so it is known.

The Usotsuki
It could be a primitive form of shooping done with scissors and glue?
freewheel
Advertising images (including on packaging material) are very often created using mock-up devices. That thing could be carved from wood and painted, for all we know. Or put together using a Heavy 6 base that was sitting around the office, with the new 4-switch top. Anything is possible. Interesting observation, though. I've never noticed it myself, as heavy 6ers are basically non-existent in my part of the world. I've only ever seen pictures, and on this forum. Nukey Shay
No...it's the same shoot they used for both boxes (they just did a little cut'n'paste for the switch area). Everything else is exactly the same.
