Hey all,

I'm selling/auctioning off a few Jaguar rarities, including a Jaguar Voice Modem, promo pen, mug with color-changing eyes, fanny pack, and the Atari Interactive edition of Tempest 2000.

There's some Lynx stuff in there and other platforms too (Virtual Boy, N64, GBA, SNES, NES, DS, Dreamcast and more) so check 'em out and bid away if you're feeling so inclined :)

Because they want to spend a fortune on a 10 year old (or so) green dye CD-R with an ink jet printed sticker on top (for extra spin instability!) that will most likely disintegrate in the next year or so?

Why do idiots go apeshit over Gorf? It's just a port of a crappy arcade game.

Just for the record, the disc for Gorf doesn't have a sticker/label on it. The artwork is printed directly onto the disc.

Also, you don't have a copy of Battlesphere/BS Gold in your treasure trove, do you?

Or a Jaguar CD? I'm trying to buy 3 from Best Electronics atm but would rather send the biz your way if reasonable enough.

I have a Jag CD and one each of BS and BSG but those are staying in the collection for the time being. I may dig around for some other unusual Jag stuff to post, I'll update here if and when I do.

>>>>>This is my personal copy of Gorf for the Atari Jaguar CD. This game saw a very limited release. I actually helped produce the game with 3D Stooges: I did the layout and printing on the case slipcover, manual and poster, and playtesting (it was a pretty tough job). You'll see my name in the credits of the game and on the manual.<<<<<

So tell me, years back I got Gorf blue DVD case with poster. We were told the poster was only issued with the white DVD case. Is it true that there were some posters leftover and issued with the blue DVD case version?

Can you shed some light on this?

Besides, great work on the slipcover and manual and poster, awesome work.

Oh and whilst I'm asking, why's the corner on the CD print cut off?

I didn't handle the distribution of the game but I did receive a poster in my blue copy.

Digging through the archives (a.k.a. some boxes in my closet) I found some extra copies of the mini-poster, unfolded, in an envelope. They were originally used as handouts to promote the game at gaming shows and conventions (I believe Phillyclassic 5 was one of the shows where we promoted it). We ended up with a bunch of extra copies of the mini poster so the guys decided to include them with the game when it came out.

If I had to guess, they gave priority to the white DVD case copies and included the posters with all of those, then put in as many as they could for the blue cases until they ran out.

Ok, I dug through some more stuff and came out with some goodies. I'll give you guys first crack before eBay to avoid the fees and nonsense. If interested, shoot me an offer in a PM.

First up is this smooth black Jaguar controller. I've never seen another one of these. I bought it from B&C Computervisions back in the 90s. Here's what I wrote about it on Jagu-Dome at the time:

I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I ordered this up from B&C Computervisions, but I was pretty excited when I opened the box. I've got no background to this item, other than speculation that it's probably a pre-production model of the Jaguar 18 button controller we all know and love. This controller's made of super-smooth black plastic, and sports an extra-large directonal pad.

Here's some pics:

Next up is the "Jaguar Eyes" CD. Also originally from B&C Computervisions. Again, from Jagu-Dome when I first got it:

This is one of those CD's that Atari would use for promo shots of the JagCD. It has the Jaguar eyes and the Jaguar Logo on it. It contains absolutely NO data whatsoever, but it's a cool collectors item anyways.
