dphirschler
I have both a Myarc disk controller card and a Myarc 128k memory expansion card. As I was trying to research about them using Google, I was unable to find any information about the 128k memory expansion card... and only limited info about the disk controller. Am I missing something? I know Myarc made other cards too. Isn't this stuff documented online somewhere? Darryl PS. I have a couple of unused Myarc RS232 labels (but not a Myarc RS232 card). Don't know where we got those. If anybody needs them, let me know. Edited August 12, 2014 by dphirschler

dphirschler
I am pretty sure the disk controller had a battery backed up real-time clock, or was that the memory expansion card. I didn't see any reference to that in the document linked above. Maybe it was the memory expansion card. I honestly expected to see some wikipedia pages listing all of Myarc's cards, the history behind them, some comparisons to Corcomp and TI's cards. I didn't even find info on the mini-expansion box. Part of this is I was curious about the history of the company. For some reason (perhaps it's even true), I was thinking Myarc formed out of Corcomp. There is info in that ftp directory on the mini expansion box too.. manuals anyway another good place for info is micropendium http://www.mainbyte.com/ti99/micro/micro.html Greg

dphirschler
Also just found an unused label for the memory expansion, and another RS232 label. We must've known somebody on the inside... Darryl

Darryl Only the Myarc HFDC (hard and floppy disk controller) had a clock. It was not battery backed up unless you added your own circuit or battery. You may be thinking of the CorComp triple tech which had a clock, print spooler, and speech rolled into one card. Myarc was not formed out of CorComp. The Mainbyte page and the TI wiki pages are good sources of info for some of the cards.
+Ksarul
I've got originals of most of the Myarc manuals--so if it turns out you need one that isn't available, I can probably scan it in for you.
dphirschler
Thanks! I might have to take you up on that. I have to troubleshoot my floppy controller card. Darryl

I need the manual for the Myarc 32/128k Memory Expansion card. I cannot find mine. I need to test it out. I want to know a) if it works, and 2) how much RAM it has. I opened it up and the RAM chips say the following: Japan 8648 HM50464P-15 U1005ZZ Guessing these are 64K chips, so since there are 16 of them means this is a 128K card... right? jens-eike
50464 are 64k*4bit. Two of them are 64kByte, so your card is 512k with 16 chips. +hloberg
any place where can get the MyArc 512k memory card? pw2.netcom.com doesn't seem to still work.
+Ksarul
You might want to talk to Richard Bell (Swim). He might still have a few of the boards, as he is the current owner of the Myarc IP.

+Ksarul
I am pretty sure I still have a manual for the card, as I bought a card NOS from the Dhein's hoard a few years ago (along with a copy of Myarc XB-II). I'll try to pull it out and scan it in.

+hloberg
DOAH! I had a manual buried away. FYI, there doesn't seem to be a valid manual on whtech anymore. you click on the myarc mem text file and all it has is a dead link on the text. here is a good copy. someone who knows how to upload to whtech upload this please.
