Metal Jesus
Do you want to be a hero? The Quest for Glory series by Sierra was a classic adventure/role-playing series that fans world wide remember fondly. TheBigJB (Ex-Sierra employee) talks about all five games in the series and which ones are his favorite, and which are not. Anybody else remember this Sierra series fondly?
Hatta
Best series ever. This is the birth of the 3rd person action/adventure/RPG.
Gamemoose
Honestly, I never played it. I just got into IBM PC gaming around 1991 or so and I just played what was given to me (eye patch firmly in place) or whatever was in the bargain bin at the time. Only Sierra games I had at the time were Police Quest and Leisure Suit Larry. When I upgraded from an 8088 10 MHz to a 486 SX 25 my world opened up so I tried a lot of cheap/clearanced games which most were not Sierra, going with the Kyrandia series, Sam and Max and the Access Software (Mean Streets, some other point and click I can't think of) for my adventure fix. Last Sierra adventure game I played was Phantasmagoria. In my neck of the woods I never saw those titles and I worked computer retail at a couple places from 1993 until about 1997. Metal Jesus
In my neck of the woods I never saw those titles and I worked computer retail at a couple places from 1993 until about 1997. I was talking about this with my wife (who I met while working at Sierra) and the QfG series was definitely a bit of a Hidden Gem at Sierra. For whatever reason they were never as popular as the King's Quest/Space Quest/Gabriel Knight games...and it must be because of the RPG elements that were included....But that's what made them great!
