What controller is this?

Hi all,

 

I was just at the flea market the other day and this guy wanted $1 for this Sega Genesis 3rd party controller, so I bought it. Once I took a good look at it I realized there was no branding whatsoever, no "made in china" labels, no part numbers, no markings. Its pretty unique since it's a 6-button controller but the controller has switches for each button for "off, turbo" and "auto." Under that is a mode button. On the back there is an on/off switch for Slow Motion. The cable is gray and bears no markings as well. The D-pad and 6 buttons actually feel pretty responsive. Believe it or not, this controller feels the best out of all of my Genesis pads. Could anyone help me identify this controller and determine what it's worth?

Eh, you've covered it. Just a knockoff 3rd party Genesis pad. Worth $4 or less.

Don't know but there are others on ebay that have switches also. Madcatz and few others. And the on the right here looks very similar to yours.

Looks similar to the controllers sold at Blockbuster - turbo, slo mo switch on the back and a blue start button. Is there a blank square on the back that could be missing a sticker? Blockbuster ones are typical sliver metallic style. Still worth $1, I always pick up genesis controllers for $1, especially a 6 button.

I had one of those back in the day, bought it at EB, it was ok but not great, I liked my Ascii pad 6 button much better, but I would agree it was decent

Our local video store had those controllers with the genesis they rented. May have been a "for video rental" controller. But there were plenty of third party controllers that were similar.
