TaskenLander's retro gaming set up/collection

Officially considering this thing COMPLETE (by 'complete' I mean I am ABSOLUTELY out of shelving and hook up room), I thought I'd take a minute and share my retro gaming set up as it appears in my home office. All systems are hooked up to TV via two switchers and some going through the VCR. Some need to be plugged in to play as room for some of those big AC adapters is limited, but other than that -- everything is ready to play!

System break down consists of: Atari 2600, Colecovision, Nintendo Famicom/Famicom Disk System (Composite modded), Sega SG-1000 II (Composite Modded), Sega Saturn, Super Nintendo Mini, N64, Panasonic 3D0 (S-video), Turbo Grafx 16, Xbox (via RGB), Sega Dreamcast (S-video), PS2 (w/ flip-top lid mod to play Japanese PS2 games) (via RGB), Sega Master System II, Sega CDX w/ 32X add on, NES mini (Composite modded), Sega Game Gear (needs repair) and lastly a Vectrex.

I don’t have a very large game collection at the moment – I was mostly interested in collecting the Hardware first, but I’m sure it will only grow in the time to come…

I have an approx. lifesize Velociraptor head bursting out of the wall above my set up, accompanied with a SEGA sign, as to me, ‘Sega’ and ‘Jurassic Park’ just seem to go hand and hand.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the comments and I guess the old adage, "Never say Never" holds true as last week I scooped this Intellivision up off of CL (with about 14 games) for a decent price:

Voltage, are you talking about this?

It's actually a CD boxset of a Japanese actress/singer from the 70's named Meiko Kaji. She was most notable as one of Japan's first 'action heroine' types. Tarantino's Kill Bill borrowed heavily from some of her films -- which were typically of the "Revenge/Exploitation" genre. She also possessed, by my assessment, an amazingly beautiful, near-hypnotic, singing voice and, as a result, had a few records done back in the day and would often sing the opening theme to some of her films.

Here's a framed vintage poster I have of her up in my gameroom/office:

I (more or less) have all of her films on DVD as well as some of her original Vinyl. :)

Thanks for looking,

Mike

  Very nice setup!

I used to have a similar setup but I was forgetting how to access some gaming systems.

How do you remember which settings and switches to hit for so many systems? ;-)

Thank you. Its certainly a little confusing-looking initially, but I remember what switcher or input everything goes into, so its actually pretty simple once you've done it a few times. :)
