WTB: Official Atari 2600 power adapter

Recommended Posts

...just what the title says. I sold the only one I had several months ago and I'm itching to start playing again.

LMK if you guys have one that you wouldn't mind parting with.

Thanks!

:)

Edit: I'm also looking for a Microsoft branded Xbox controller (s type)

Any regulated PSU that outputs 9V at least 500ma on a 3.5mm Jack positive tip will work. Radio Shack sell compatable ones for $15, you need Adaptaplug™ F

Old Atari PSUs do have a smoothing cap and they are likely to be quite dry by now, so may end with hum bars.

Thanks for the advice!

Are there any PSUs that don't get hot after leaving it plugged for a while. I don't want to keep having to unplug it every time I don't use it.

FWIW I bought an official PSU from Best Electronics a couple years ago.

I've never done business with them before. I might give them a shot. Thanks! :)

Xbox controller found! I went into a local gaming store and asked if they had one for sale. It took a few minutes to find out, but I found out is they don't carry 3rd party controllers. The guy picked one up and said "it's yours, it's free." :D
