+JAC!
Hi there, I'm in the process of creating SillyPack 2k14 and face the problem, that out of the 4 VBXE GFX entries (320x200x256), only once comes with an executable. Is there any tool, to convert a PNG/BMP into an executable for VBXE equipped machines? Cheers, Peter/JAC!
Joey Z
at this point, nothing that I know of does such a thing. For someone with time and VBXE knowledge, it would be a fairly trivial matter to make a program that views 256 color 320x240 BMPs or 16 color 640x240 BMPs. PNG I'm not so sure about. Rybags
I thought there was something but seems probably not. The ones I did were just bandaided together using one-off Basic programs that built the file. If you check http://atarionline.pl there's a recent News post about a BMP Viewer for VBXE but I don't think it will generate XEX files. Sort of weird nobody's bothered to do an Xex generator yet - for BMPs it can be a pretty straightforward process for 256 colour ones at least. +JAC!
Update: At SillyVenture I had the chance to talk to epi and he has now published the latest build of ivbconv with the fixes. Thanks Adrian! https://github.com/epi/ivbconv/releases/tag/v1.1.1
