I was thinking about getting one of those no power/as-is consoles because I just need the motherboard for my clear shell and don't want to pay hundreds for one. Everyone starts somewhere! I'm confident a novice could get the U38 swapped out.....and feel like an electronics pro after they're done. If you have a bad board, what's the harm in trying? Go for it! I have been traveling a lot lately for my real job -- ya I have one of those -- a regional mfg. rep. And I've been on the road the past couple weeks. So, back and my goal is to get all remaining boxes of Jags out by Tuesday of next week. Or at least a big shipment. I have to travel again next Thurs-Friday so want to try and wrap this up as much as you all do.
