rapoza609 #1 Posted February 5, 2015 I recently bought a silver label version of Space Invaders to try and complete my silver label collection. When I got the cart in the mail the end label had blue lettering instead of red like most silver label carts. Is this common or did someone re-glue a blue end lable from the picture cart edition? +McCallister #2 Posted February 5, 2015 Not sure how common, but it's legit.
Philflound #3 Posted February 5, 2015 Check the link to my site. There are blue and red letter black end label variants, several at that. http://www.videogamevariations.com/AtariCompanies/AtariGames/SpaceInvaders/space_invaders_cartridges.htm Phil

Phil http://www.videogamevariations.com/AtariCompanies/AtariGames/Combat/combat_cartridges.htm That's alot of Combats I wonder how many people actually collect Combat label variations. Can't be that many.
Philflound #9 Posted February 7, 2015 (edited) Funny thing is that some of those variations are extremely rare and "should" sell for much more money. If collecting variants becomes more popular, you'll see certain ones sell. Some red label late re-releases and gray box variants are commanding decent money. "Error" variants like the RAIDERS LOST ARK and POLE POSITN used to get a premium, but I haven't watched lately for those specific titles. Activision/Imagic blue labels also used to get a small premium. I find funny is that though I created the site, I don't really collect too many variations. Don't have the room. Atari_Bill #10 Posted February 7, 2015 I would pay a pretty good premium for the pic label of blackjack. That's one that I absolutely love the artwork for but just can't seem to find.
Frostbite Bailey #11 Posted February 7, 2015 Also 1988. Phil Great; another variant I have to collect Thanks for all the work on your site. I collect label variants so it is very helpful. Cheers, FB
Philflound #12 Posted February 7, 2015 After about a year from when my hard drive crashed, I finally got a web design program again this past week, so I'll be working on the site again real soon. Phil
