Elvis8Atari
I tried to play Wizard of Wor for my 5200 tonight and was having some issues. Maybe someone can help. I have a working Atari 5200, and I use a Wico controller. I am able to play my other games, such as Galaxian. Works just fine. But when I try and play Wizard of Wor, nothing happens. I hit the start button on the original controller, which starts the game. And the the character just wont move or fire. Any ideas what could be wrong? BassGuitari
Did you try using the second controller port? IIRC Wizard Of Wor used joystick #2.
doctorclu
(Laughs) Yeh, it was a WEIRD setup but player one is in the second controller port.

Atariboy
Worth mentioning that this was just replicating the arcade setup. Perhaps a case where their attempt at faithfulness was a bit misplaced. At the very least, you should've been able to play a single player game as the blue character when starting with the left controller. Then, it could've maintained this bit from the arcade without causing any confusion. Edited March 4, 2015 by Atariboy
MIKE5200
Yeah, try port 2..Can't count how many times my dad and I played the hell of the 2600 version which somewhat plays easy then the 5200 version. I guess its the controllers?
Elvis8Atari
Okay, the second controller port worked. But my WICO controllers are so out of alignment it doesn't seem to matter anyway.

Nutsy Doodleheimer
Good thing I ran into this. I have WOR on my 5200 SD multicart And haven't played It. Now I won't be acting like James Rolfe in his 5200 video lol.
