bender3455
It's ok, sometimes there's just not an easy answer to a problem. So, I got my cap kit in and replaced all the caps on the JagCD board. Still didn't work, boo. My current thought I'd that the U8 chip on the board is faulty, and not sending out a trigger voltage. In this case, it won't be something I can repair. That also means Best is about to make 250.00, lol.

They worked on it right after this person replaced the transport by themselves. Maybe it wasn't the same people. DO NOT throw out your defective CD player. Maybe best will take some off in exchange for it.

bender3455
Hi Paul! Who's "we"? The community, or Best Electronics? I definitely won't be just tossing the JagCD I have, even if I order another.
011i
Bender, did you find a solution? I hope your still here. Did you sell your unit to me? I´ts a joke but I have same or similar issue. I replaced two times the VAM1202 and no one is spinning. I tryied a chinese one and one from Philips. So I returned to the one which was installed and now it is atemting to rotate. Curios detail you mention ist that the motor is soldered with the cable colors inverted. My unit is still not readind anything but old original assembled VAM is spinning counterclockwise. All cd units I have at home are spinning clockwise. So this is very strange for me. But I tried with invert cables and still no readings. But it takes much longer to reject the CD. I´m always trying with a music CD and a Jaguar game.
