+Vorticon
What is special about the Quest RAM disk cards? Please put me down for the Myarc FDC and the redesigned IDE card as mine is a bit flaky! BTW, are those going to put us through SMD hell again or will they be through-hole?
+Ksarul
The Quest is just a 512K Australian RAM Disk card, similar to a Horizon in many respects. I did these because I have permission to do so from the original designer. On the IDE cards, they will be through-hole--no SMD skillz needed. . .
atrax27407
The Quest has the option to add 32K as well.
bholcomb007
Ksarul, Are you going to post the new IDE design here on the forums? I was looking to done of his designs but if you are making one that is old school through hole I would be quite interested in building one! Currently I am waiting on Greg and Richard to start getting the internal 32K board kits back up for the taking! That would be another great board (theIDE) I would be excited to get started on! Are you going to sell the pre-fab boards or will we have to get them made ourselves? Ben
+Ksarul
Once it is done, I'll get a set of bare boards done and announce availability once they've been tested, Ben. I usually have one or two folks build one as a beta-test before announcing general availability. I will probably build boards for those without the skill/desire to build their own, but the bare boards will definitely be available. bholcomb007
Sounds great! I will be checking in, as usual, each day to see how things are going. Very much appreciated, Ben
