tschak909
I'm posting this in the Users forum, in case there are people who don't read the programming threads: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/237822-disassembling-the-educational-system-master-cartridge/ http://atariage.com/forums/topic/238262-eduencode-a-library-for-encoding-atari-educational-system-tapes/ I've been involved with an archaeological project for the Atari 8-bit community to archive, and preserve the Atari Educational System Master Cartridge (CXL4001, the first cartridge announced for the Atari 8-bit machines), and its accompanying tapes. I spent two weeks disassembling the cartridge, and reverse engineering the tape formats. As part of this process, I wrote an encoder to make new tapes, and wrote a few examples. Then one day, at about 2 in the morning, I had a funny idea to re-imagine the best Strong Bad Email of them all, as a piece of 1970s multimedia, using a real 1979 multimedia engine! Half a day's worth of work, and this is the result. Credit goes not only to myself for the new data track, but also Matt and Mark Chapman, of HomeStarRunner.Com for the original. Enjoy, -Thom

tschak909
Thanks, guys. Tape image attached. Works in Altirra, or you can burn it to a tape, and try on a real system. Can _anybody_ test this on a real system, and report back ???? -Thom strongbad-techno.wav.zip
