Alexs
Hi there, I recently got a Lynx 2 and there seems to be an issue with the screen. It looks like stuck pixels but I'm not entirely sure. Is it repairable? It's hard to believe there could be this many stuck pixels on a display!
Keatah
I can't imagine so. Not without a forensics lab. There's lots of tricks you can find on the internet, but they don't really work.
StijnDW
Alexs, I think it is inherent to the LCD technology and the age of the Lynx displays to have some dead/stuck pixels. Most of my Lynx's have one or two bright pixels but certainly not as bad as yours.Don't think there is not much can do. Just a very bad display, try a new Lynx or the McWill replacement LCD.Could be that some ambient factors cause some displays to fail sooner then others. Ik zie net dat je uit Belgie komt, ik ben Nederlands :-) Weet jij mischien waar je een beetje fatsoenlijke lynx kan kopen? Ik heb er al een paar van marktplaats maar die zijn telkens in slechte staat Thanks for the suggestions, I think i'l just try and find another Lynx (3rd time lucky) I hope
7800fan
Or look to McWill for a new LCD. It is superior to LCD technology used 25 years ago. It won't be cheap and you need solder experience or know someone who can do it. But new LCD should last long time.
Alexs
Thanks for all the replies Ik picked up another Lynx 2, pretty happy with this one Or look to McWill for a new LCD. I may do that somewhere down the line but I have only begun soldering a couple weeks ago so I wouldn't feel confident doing it yet, plus the mod is pretty pricey.
