Chuck D. Head
It's an original homebrew, but the cartridge release was done without the author's permission. There was a thread about it here somewhere, but I can't find it. I have a copy too. It's a great game. It's really a shame it didn't get an "official" release. edit: one of the threads - http://atariage.com/forums/topic/223296-reflex-2600-released-in-cartridge-form/ I remember there being another one though. Interesting, I don't think I ever read the last few posts in that thread. I can confirm that I bought directly from the OP in person, so Al nailed that one. +KaeruYojimbo
I didn't learn the whole seedy story until almost a year later. We really need to get this out there, generate some interest and sell these bad boys on ebay for Boulder Dash money.

Crazy Climber
Didn't know Pigs in the Castle ended up getting released, didn't know anything at all about Checked INN! +sramirez2008
Just received Ature. This is an excellent Adventure Game - Originally programed by AA member Beoran and re-released with permission by AA member swlovinist (John Hancock) for the Cowlitz Gamers for Kids 2016 show. I believe John is planning on releasing a 2nd batch of games if there is enough interest. Here's the thread: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/165701-ature-my-homebrew-action-adventure-game-for-atari-2600/ Thanks to Beoran, John, Al and everyone involved for making this special edition available to the community.

Necron99
Holy cow. What are some of your favorites? Any you regret getting? favorites? off the top of my head... Muncher, Halo 2600, AVCS Tec Challenge, AStar, Toyshop Trouble, Vault Assault. I'm likely forgetting a few. also, I still have a few I haven't played yet as my game room has been under construction. regrets? hmmm. I bought a few hacks from Hozer once, I think Doomzerk and Berzerk Renegade were a couple of them...I kinda feel like the labels are pretty badly made and even though the games play and are fine, it makes then feel cheap. The Last Ninja isn't a very good game but I didn't pay much for it.

+Propane13
The Last Ninja isn't a very good game but I didn't pay much for it. This! I was at a CGE Expo years ago (2007 I think?) when this came out. I had my money ready, and walked around, looking for good deals and cool homebrews. At one of the first places I stopped, they had 2 new homebrews-- N.E.R.D.S. and "The Last Ninja". They were both limited edition, and homebrews had traditionally sold out too quickly, so I made time to look at the games. I tried out N.E.R.D.S. on the 2600 they had there. Frankly, it didn't look too polished to me, so I wasn't interested. However, the Last Ninja was sitting there, and the graphics looked ok to me. So, I tried it out on the 2600 that was sitting there. "Hey-- it's a pretty cool game", I thought to myself. I didn't do much, but ran through maybe 8 rooms or so. It had a "Secret Quest" feel to it-- sold! I was so disappointed when I got home to realize that I was one room away from beating the game. In total, the game only has 16 rooms, and no randomization. I even found my old review here for others to read, if they're interested: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/111089-the-last-ninja-is-as-short-as-airlock/ This game had so much promise, and I have no idea what happened. I don't know who the author is, but if they went back and added randomization and a bigger map, they'd have something interesting on their hands. -John

When Halo 2600 first arrived, the family played it until we all beat it.
