+arcadeshopper
Brown interrupt wire connected or disconnected for CFHDX serial hookup? I am assuming 'connected...' It shouldn't matter. But connected is always going to work with any software.. unconnected only for reloading the DSR when it's corrupted.
Fritz442
If you want to use just a rom you would just burn one and replace the rom with it. (pin compatible?) Imho that would remove upgrading capability but add stability and require no hardware extra except to make the pins compatible with the rom. A few pins would need to change to switch to ROM. You could probably do that easiest by using a properly cross-wired pair of sockets--that way the mod would be reversible. Can anyone be a little more specific on which pins would need to be changed/switched? And you would still need a 2764 8k rom correct? +Ksarul
I'd have to look at the two chip types to suss out the specific pins. I'll try and look at that this weekend when I have some hobby time. . .

Fritz442
Yes that is a very good read, but I believe the HDX daughter board is already changing/switching some of the pins to go from 4k ROM to 8k RAM chip. I'm trying to replace the '8k static ram' to a '8k eprom' and I'm just not sure what I need to change.
