Hate to see me on the 2nd 1st place, but thats the price I had to pay for admitting my score that early ^^ I still wonder how the score beyong 6.530.000 million is counted, because everything rolled over and its not possible to tell the actual score from a picture.

Well it's somewhat possible to tell the score is real after it rolls over.

Because you will see the level counter is at like level 30 and a score of only a few hundred points. So it's obvious you could not get to that high a level with a score that low ;)

The 1st 1st place has over 100k points behind the loop. If you really want to, you can get to screen 100 with such a low score ;) I have no doubt that he played it so far, but its just impossible to tell it from a normal screen, at least in the cart version I own.

Or lets say to scren 70-100, depends on the number of jets.

Wish I would have squeezed at least one more better scoring round but I've been so frickin' busy lately.. it just never panned out for me. Oh well.. maybe next time. ;)

Anyways, thanks for putting up the contest, Mr. Rev. I enjoyed it. Long Live Inty! :)

Stupus - thanks I was basically going to post the same thing. You can tell from picture of highest score over 6 Million & then picture of 1st and last score after game flips to zero (how many levels have been passed). This can also be verified by time stamp on pictures as well I think. Put another way, anyone who played to 3M+ is certainly honorable and no cheat:-)

Quick question for anyone out there that can answer me: How does this compare to Chopper Command on Atari 2600? I have never played the game on the Atari 2600 so have no idea what that one is like or what options it had? I assume remixed is a new option only available on inty? Did 2600 version have different levels of difficulty as well? Any other differences? Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide me any comparison as this was 1st time playing. One thing I liked about it was the speed of the game and ability to go left or right quickly which I assume you could do in 2600 version as well.

using the activision anthology app on my phone chopper commander has fast/slow and cadet/commander. The map isnt as good on the atari 2600 but it has capabilities of a rainbow of colors allowing the sunset it has. The remix is exclusive. It is all the same screen on the atari like classic mode.

pimpmaul69,

Thanks so much for info & screen shot! I see what you are saying about inty map being easier to read & am glad to hear only inty version has remix mode because I think that was a nice touch & the version I will play in future for more challenge. Also you are right the sunset is pretty nice on the Atari 2600 - unfortunately I'm not a technical guy or programmer so it's hard for me to understand differences between the hardware.

cmart,

Your son did awesome! I was proud of my little guy getting 2,500 on the one game he played & my 7 year old for getting 30,000 after a handful of games.

Thanks Joe! It was his first game ever. He died twice within the first thirty seconds and then figured it out. He quit after getting to a million with six copters left. :)

Cmart,

Definitely an awesome game from your son - he should play all future competitions with us!

Rev,

I also want to thank you for your generosity and for time spent in doing competition! It not only forced me to hook up my system that I've been meaning to do forever, but also gave me a nice diversion from real life so thanks again!

Joe

My entry is hidden right besides #3. :P

In any case, I am astonished I made it to fourth place! :o I just played a few times and didn't have enough stamina to extend my play like some of the others.
