+CyranoJ
Well, got the arcade music into Midnight Resistance, and then added the SFX.... I think it's playing the tunes out of sequence though - need to confirm it against MAME https://youtu.be/NOWm_RrTQV4

+CyranoJ
Ok,just tell me do you have something planned for Badlands? I'm asking nicely. Yes, but it doesn't involve you making a box
Stage_1_Boss
There's only one cart made and we're going to have a thunderdome-like event to determine who rules over the badlands.
Moo
It's good that you are getting something back for making the ports and that you are making these cartridges affordable and all. I really hope you release the ROM's when that guy releases the Jaguar flash cart tho. People will be able to play it without paying terrible prices on ebay and for collectors they'll still have your carts.

+remowilliams
I didn't know Remo owned the license. Remo owns a Badlands. Remo does not own all the Badlands.

Stage_1_Boss
Kind of related, kind of not.. But I'd forgotten how much screen flicker the NES version of Commando had.. and while I usually love NES music, I prefer the music used in CJ's port. Stage_1_Boss
Sorry for the following questions if they're irritating at all CJ, I've just been psyched about the possibilities of expanding my Jaguar library. May I ask if you decided to continue with Mr. Heli? It looked quirky and interesting which I tend to like. I was also wondering if you'd given any more thought towards Golden Axe, I know you'd mentioned that you'd liked the idea of giving it a go. As for everything else, thank you again for the work you've put into making more games playable on the Jaguar, it's been adding to the fun of playing and collecting for the system. No problem Yeah I might go back to Mr Heli. Thing is, i remembered it as being a fun game, but after playing it again recently all the fun was in my mind - it just isn't that great. I'll probably finish it for completeness though. I also played Golden Axe again recently, the scrolling is very rough in that one, again not as good as I remember it. But I probably will look at it in the future.
doctorclu
Huh, I would have to give my expert opinion on Golden Axe. Played the arcade a lot. Played the Genesis version. Would the ST version be worth it? Checking... And I wonder if they made Golden Axe 2 or 3? Found this video... Looks a little choppy but otherwise good. I'd still play it. Maybe on the Jaguar you could do some the speed hacks and make that little smoother? Edited October 29, 2016 by doctorclu
Stage_1_Boss
Thank you for replying, its a bummer Golden Axe is a little choppy, loved that game on the Genesis. I wonder if Alien Storm is the same way on the ST, since its pretty much Golden Axe with aliens lol
Moo
You could always improve golden axe. However you can. It also sounds like it has a healthy amount of SE's for a ST game.

Well, so could you SE's? I assume you mean Sound Effects, but who knows, it could be Salty Earthworms. Abbreviations only work if people know wtf you are on about
Stage_1_Boss
Well, so could you I know this is what has to go through CJs head everytime a request for porting to the Jaguar is made. I wonder how long itd take to learn code for the Jaguar from the ground up. The furthest Ive gotten is making text birds flap on a VIC-20 lol
+CyranoJ
Nah it's not that. Maybe its a 2nd language thing, I don't know. It just reads like a dismissive comment about how easy these things are.

It just reads like a dismissive comment about how easy these things are. Yeah, I understand that, its effort not only to learn the process but then time and effort for the task at hand. Also, I have no experience with it, but Ive heard the Jaguar can be a bit squirrely when creating for it.
Moo
Well, I wouldn't mind a straight port either, People would be lucky to play golden axe on the jaguar. It's too bad there wasn't a Sonic game for ST. And yes, by SE I meant Sound effects.
+CyranoJ
Well, it's around 15-300+ hours per port, depending on complexity.... so excuse me if I don't jump on every single suggestion that appears here
