What add-on's were made for the Intellivision?

Recommended Posts

What Add-on accessories were made for the Intellivision? Pictures please!!

So far I know about

1. The Voice Synth Module (in brown)

2. The Atari 2600 attachment (in the design scheme of the Intellivision 2)

What else am I missing? The Voice synth sure looks ugly sticking out of an Inty 2, did they ever do an Inty 2 theme Voice Synth?

Thanks!

There's also the ECS computer adapter, with which you can use the world's shittiest keyboard to program the world's weirdest BASIC interpreter, or the music keyboard that, like, one game uses. It's designed to match the Intellvision II and it does look pretty boss all hooked up. :-D

See the Intellivision FAQ for pictures.

There's PlayCable for online access to a a library of games. The Playcable was never sold to the public, all units had to be returned to the cable company when the program was discontinued. Customers likely kept the package of instructions and overlays.

There's the original Keyboard Component, a more capable computer add-on. It was cancelled after test marketing and recalled. It was expensive and unreliable.

There's the Compro Electronics Videoplexer for easy switching between multiple cartridges.

There was no white Intellivoice, only a mockup for marketing.

You never tried typing on a Atari 400, did you?

I have. And the TImex Sinclair 1000, too. :-D At least their keys didn't get stuck down all the time and prevent you from entering anything else until you hunted down the stuck key and got it loose again.

You mean you don't have vacuum tipped fingers that suck up the keys as you type like the other ECS owners have? ;-)

Just spray some WD40 around the keys that get stuck, no?
