LynxHandyCaster
I'm looking to buy a black TI Program Cassette Recorder for a display I'm creating for the TI 99/4a for the Vintage Computer Festival Southeast in April. I'm looking for a CIB, but I'll take any recorder as long as it's a TI Program Recorder, it's black (not beige), it works and looks ok, and it's a reasonable price. Thanks!

LynxHandyCaster
I guess the black recorders are hard to find.
+Ksarul
They show up once in a while, but they are probably the hardest of the TI-branded recorders to find. . .

LynxHandyCaster
Found a program recorder on feeBay at a decent price and complete in box. Can't wait to get it! I've got one cassette tape with one short program that I saved to it over 30 years ago, and I don't know what the program is. I'll let everyone know once I find out.
Omega-TI
I don't know what the program is. I'll let everyone know once I find out. Ever feel like a kid looking at the Christmas presents under tree a couple of weeks before the big day? The anticipation... I hope it's something you wrote all those years ago, that would be like a personal little time capsule come to life.
LynxHandyCaster
It is definitely something I wrote...but I have no idea what it is. Stay tuned.
LynxHandyCaster
Received the recorder today. Looks brand new and works perfectly. There are two short programs on an old cassette tape that I was anxious to find out about. They were both apparently early drafts of a program I was writing for a friend of mine to be able to catalogue his soda can collection. And both programs have errors that I'll need to sort out. Oh well, nothing too exciting, but at least I know the program recorder works.
Omega-TI
All right! It's fun going back over old code from decades gone by. I'm glad your tape held up over all those years too!
dendawg
Wasn't the black recorder basically a rebadged GE?
