pixelmischief
Anyone know where I can get an Eiffel interface? I have a request in to Lotharek, but it seems no one is making and selling them regularly.
exxosuk
AlanH was the last one to make them, so you could try him. http://www.atari-forum.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=2665

You need to be registered on the forum and have 3 active posts to use the message system. http://www.atarikit.co.uk/ That is his site, think his email is on the Monster page. TheNameOfTheGame
His web page explains that is no longer making them. Maybe he has a few left. http://www.atarikit.co.uk/eiffel/eiffel.html
galax
It's more expensive and has more features, but CosmosEx would be one way to achieve the same result. A cheaper DIY alternative could be made from an Arduino or similar that has a USB host, the only hard bit would be the ST's IKBD protocol and hopefully that's well documented somewhere. TheNameOfTheGame
I talked to Alan and he may make a small batch later this year if there is enough interest. I would let him know if you want one.

bugs
Would this work for you instead of the eiffel? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amiga-and-Atari-USB-mouse-adapter-JERRY-Smooth-working-Awesome-/231828277904?hash=item35fa0aca90:g:unQAAOSwv0tVbSPT http://www.ebay.com/itm/Best-Amiga-Atari-ST-C64-Commodore-Mouse-Gamepad-Joystick-USB-adapter-TOM-/231840696456?hash=item35fac84888:g:ee8AAOSwniRWN9z0

Actually, the keyboard is passable. It's the mouse that is simply impossible to use. This would be an excellent start. Thanks!
galax
Nice! I thought you would be after it for the keyboard- Eiffel is kind of overkill if you just want to use a PC mouse with an ST. I have a few PeSTs http://pest.atari.org/ ,which are great but not made any more as far as I know, and only work with PS/2 compatible mice which are getting hard to find. I ever run out of either I'll get one of those USB ones or build my own equivalent from an Arduino.

kawickboy
Hello, as Olivier seems to have closes his shop, where could i buy ready to use Eiffel kit for Mega ST(E) ? Thanks
Bikerbob
this is the million dollar question. I contacted Olivier, saying I would be interested in buying his stock, but no response. Shame.. he built really nice stuff at very reasonable prices. James

Smokeless Joe
I would also very much like an Eiffel for my MEGA STE. Using the Wayback machine, I found a Sept 21, 2021 capture for www.gossuin.be/index.php/shop that says “SHOP CLOSED Come back for stock clearance soon.” So I guess I’m a couple months too late for that. +poobah
So, to clarify what is desired... box thingy that you plug in a standard PC keyboard and mouse (PS/2, or possibly USB), which then plugs into the keyboard port on the Mega ST/STe systems? That’s certainly what I’m looking for. USB would be ideal, but PS/2 would be just fine.
