Holy Diver Dio Mod (NES)

Recommended Posts

I've been playing around with some NES graphic mods and here is one of them. I changed the crest at the intro of Holy Diver to a picture of Dio. I also changed the character's palette and made it so he throws up some devil horns.

Here is a video of the full intro: holy_diver_dio_hack.zip

Here is the .ips patch and cart label. Enjoy! holy_diver_dio_patch.zip

Very cool! You should also change the level names to songs from the Holy Diver album.

That's not a bad idea!

If you are going to make carts I will take one.

I'm going to post an ips patch and the cart label when everything is finished.

Here is the patch and cart label as promised. Sorry it took so long, but the pillar of eyes took about a week for me to beat! Plus I have a few other hacks going... Anyhow, I have changed the character, some background, and some enemy palettes so there is more contrast. I have also changed the purple pumpkin looking enemies to crawling eyeballs, which I think look much cooler!

This patch also contains the MMC1 patch by MottZilla and the english translation patch by Monaco

The download is now available in the first post.

2600 version please!!!

You will have to program it yourself and even then it will be pretty rough (at best) compared to the NES version.
