emkay
I'd still prefer this one: In all chiptunes the "aaa" is pushed toward the background . The used arpeggios don't solve the tune.
emkay
Some trimming experimental. The "shamus" is the biggest hurdle , because POKEY goes exactly the wrong way. And, still there is the problem that RMT doesn't allow pitch changes on the patterns, similar to the volume.
zbyti
Now this "0:50" it's only too loud but not play "false notes" any more. Good job! For me it's the best version I ever heard on any platform. Edited September 19, 2020 by zbyti Good job!

zbyti
@patjomki We are talking about my preferences? The composition is very good and platform independent, but the Amiga performance is not special, I prefer the latest POKEY version. For me the AMIGA version is something special ? because even 30 years after its initial release it still inspires artists to do conversions for different platforms.

miker
OK, Atari Lynx. Tuned to Atari 8-bit though (was easier to do things).
zbyti
Well, I missed it. Your version hits the podium for me! Interestingly, most of your conversions seemed to me that the tempo is too fast and this one is tasteful. miker
Thanks. Too bad its tracker was never finished. Still there are missing some features but I still learn and hack various effects out of it. Ok, End of offtopic. Atari 8-bit Amiga Lynx ... The lynx is not a Jay Miner product... but... You know what really brought me back to "Atari" ? It was the Lynx. It was as astonishing as the Atari XL and the Amiga 2000 to me. I have 3 Lynx one and 2 Lynx two, and a lot cartridges. While the Lynx had the real better CPU, the 3D chip and the great colors, the sound part has hard times to sound better than pokey. Wll, it does sound better, but just by the fact that it plays lower notes. In the range of all "sound chips" for "homecomputers" POKEY is the oldest. You should keep that in mind. Every of my edits would run on a 1979 machine without any expansions ...
emkay
I'd really like to do a Hardsynth Version of Jochen Hippel's Buzzer tune. If only the correct notation was to get. The tune yells for a conversion.
emkay
Another thing was to have a "Goat-Tracker" to RMT converter. So it would be easy to get REAL notations for nice tunes. It's still challenging to put POKEY to the right sound

How about a BMX pro simulator conversion ? I've seen a mod version somewhere
