Thea Realm Fighters early demo pre-alpha

Recommended Posts

I think we need the Source Code to help make the game more stable!

Exactly, Although GT and his friend are going to recreate the game on the M.U.G.E.N engine. All that i will say is that there's a near-finished build of TRF somewhere out in the wild...

That does look better but the Jaguar logo, text and Teen rating (which is probably higher than teen rating) is too blurry. Since it's not an official release I'm not so sure about all the legal text and labeling anyways.

I'm not sure I like it but I threw this together for something more original...

Guys, it seems this amazing beta has Easter eggs:

This evening while playing it with my son, we suddenly got this:

I don't know what we did for that but at least we know now that Tok has a zombie variant.

This could let thinking this cool rom has possibly other Easter eggs :)

This game has great potential, I am a big fan of Ultra Vortek and I would like to see a finished version of this game, I hope news sooner or later.

A mugen version can be a good idea if it is balanced and with good taste and if the original aesthetic is respected.

Found a few soundbites from 1 of the team in my old files:

My main Jaguar opus was actually porting Tempest 2000 from the Jaguar, although I was trapped in several months of hell helping with a JagCD fighting game called "Thea Realm Fighters" (I could write a book about that one), I also did a little dabbling for a classics project that never materialized and did tool support on a couple of other programs.

Oh yeah, I had to share an office with the guy testing "Vid Grid" "Kid Vid Grid" and, yes "Country Vid Grid". If I hear the opening to "No More Tears" one more time, a shopping mall gets it. :-)

Nate Trost

Doesn't look like he was too big a fan of the Jaguar:

Heh, screw Quake 2 and all that with stuff, I'm just going to devote my life to porting Club Drive to the Mac. ;-)

Or not.

Nate (had to WORK on Jaguar titles, thankyouverymuch) Trost

Yeah as a game it looks like it would be crap.

Graphically impressive though.

What's impressive about the graphics? The character designs are not even B Movie "quality", they look mostly ridiculous. Animations look choppy. Nah...I cannot believe this was 90% done.

And these are the guys that supposedly were not happy Probe had been given conversion duties for Jaguar MKIII,saying it should of gone to them instead.

It never prevented any game from being released on the Jaguar.
