Tempest
Ok weird question, but would it be possible to make an adapter to use an Atari 5200 joystick on a Colecovision? I'm one of the few people who actually like the 5200 stick and I hate the Colecovision 'mushroom' stick (the square corners on the body also bother me). Has anyone tried it before? fiddlepaddle
Yes, it's possible, but difficult because the 5200 stick is analog and Coleco controller is digital; need some electronics inside.Probably the best bet would be to remove the stick from the 5200 controller and glue it somehow to a decapitated colecovision joystick. Might want to reinforce it with some kind of steel rod, but would probably need to drill it to do that (since I doubt if it's hollow). Easier solution is to use a Yadapter with an Atari 2600 joystick you like.

Ah, I was afraid of that. I guess a Y adapter and a 2600 stick is probably the best way to go.
Hannacek
To make a 5200 controller work on a CV would take a lot of time, and you would have to spend money on the parts. Because the 5200 controller is so universally hated, no one would have any reason to attempt to do this.
+stupus
The European 7800 stick that resembles a nes controller works good on the colecovision, it's 1 I often use.
