thedoppelganger #1876 Posted November 22, 2018 It's all gone very quiet. No activity on their web site or social media. Can we assume Poymega is dead? Does anyone know if refunds are happening ?
godslabrat #1877 Posted November 22, 2018 Well, there is that video that was supposed to be done "very soon" that we've been waiting on for almost two months. Does that count?
+kevtris #1878 Posted November 22, 2018 It's all gone very quiet. No activity on their web site or social media. Can we assume Poymega is dead? Does anyone know if refunds are happening ? They got peoples' money, no need to talk about it any more. It will remain to be seen if they produce anything in the next 5-6 months.
godslabrat #1879 Posted November 22, 2018 (edited) Their shill continues to talk it up. Edited November 22, 2018 by godslabrat
Keatah #1880 Posted November 23, 2018 And while that Peter Kitch is thinking about wanting to play NES stuff, the rest of us ARE playing NES via Emulation, FPGA, Original Hardware, Clones, and Mini. As for P.K. being a shill, I suppose that could be true, the sentence structure and letter/word distribution matches others from AtariBox and matched yet more from Chameleon.

RetrogamerX #1882 Posted November 29, 2018 I doubt backers will ever see polymega console or get there money back. I feel sorry for whoever backed this project. Glad I didn’t

atm94404 #1885 Posted November 30, 2018 (edited) I can't help getting distracted by the battery level... Maybe it's not the battery level but the person's remaining patience with Polymega... Edited November 30, 2018 by atm94404
Flojomojo #1886 Posted December 3, 2018 This image is from the Art of Atari book. Does the design look familiar?
thedoppelganger #1887 Posted December 5, 2018 Is there anyone reading this who's put money into Polymega ? If so, are you receiving any contact from them? Have they refunded you? Have you maybe had your credit card company recover your money where possible? To be clear, I HAVE NOT put any money into it - thank goodness....

Newsdee #1890 Posted December 6, 2018 (edited) Hopefully by talking about it here we can prevent future disasters. We may be labeled the Hater Brigaders but at the end we are just dissappinted at how half-baked some of these ideas are, and without skill to pull them off. Even Sony doesn't seem capable of producing a decent emulation device, so any random Kickstarter/crowdfunding startup doesn't look very good in comparison. An established company using kickstarter to fund production is a different story. GPD for example made some neat products, although they had a share of minor issues. At least they shipped and the things worked mostly as advertised. Edited December 6, 2018 by Newsdee
VintageGamer74 #1891 Posted December 27, 2018 Did they ever show REAL FOOTAGE of Sega Saturn games being run on their hardware? Just curious.
derFunkenstein #1892 Posted December 27, 2018 Did they ever show REAL FOOTAGE of Sega Saturn games being run on their hardware? Just curious. No. Said video was coming "soon" back in September. They've totally disappeared aside from the black hole into which people were throwing money (but has thankfully closed off on its own).
VintageGamer74 #1893 Posted December 27, 2018 Okay. I didn't think so. Glad I never pulled the trigger on supporting this.
godslabrat #1894 Posted December 31, 2018 To Peter's credit, he's put in more effort in those two tweets than Polymega had in the last four months.
mbd30 #1895 Posted December 31, 2018 "Retroblox" is still one of the goofiest names for a console that I've seen. Almost any name would be better than RETROBLOX.
thedoppelganger #1896 Posted December 31, 2018 Emailed to them via the contact button on their web site in November: Given that you have not reached any goals beyond the original 500k, it seems there will be no further element modules beyond the initial 4. There's no activity on Twitter or Facebook and nothing on your new web site. It's fair to assume then that Polymega is going no further and is as good as dead. It was a nice dream, but I can now only assume it's over. On 20th November they replied - it went into Spam so was only recently found: Since the pre-order is wrapped up we are no longer marketing the console until the initial preorders have shipped, which is what we're focused on at the moment. As for future modules, everything costs money (obviously!) and since the goals weren't hit we can't make any guarantees on those specific modules. But, that doesn't mean they won't ever happen. We expect Polymega to be available through at least 2028, and a lot can happen between now and then. Thankfully, retro games aren't going anywhere! Best -- Team Polymega Make of it what you will….. godslabrat #1897 Posted December 31, 2018 Man, they can't resist the snark, can they?
VintageGamer74 #1898 Posted December 31, 2018 So basically all the modules they planned are now on hold??? I just don't see how they can sell enough systems to raise $$$ for newer modules for future release. I'm so lost as to what they are trying to do now? 😵
Flojomojo #1899 Posted December 31, 2018 "We expect Polymega to be available through at least 2028" Yeah, and RetroVGS was supposed to be a sturdy thing you could pass on to your grandchildren. What is WRONG with these people?
cacophony #1900 Posted December 31, 2018 We expect Polymega to be available through at least 2028... What new product launch by even the largest and most established company would say something like this? It makes zero sense from both a marketing and business perspective and just shows how poorly Playmaji is being run.
