mjarnold7
Anyone know if Go For the Gold is a possible release? Not sure how much work was done on it at Mattel?
mr_me
Since it was a compilation of previously released games, all programming work was done. And that includes a menu to select the game. It was released on the Intellivision Lives CD in 1999. Skiing, Hockey, Boxing, and Basketball cartridges and roms are all commonly available. I think reproduction boxes of the original Mattel compilation design are available too. There was a cartridge planned called Winter Olympics. It was to have new games but, according to intellivisiinlives.com, no programming work was done. http://www.intellivisionlives.com/bluesky/games/credits/1983b.html#winter_olympics
mthompson
I don't know about Mattel's work, but my part is basically done. But everyone here knows how reluctant Rev is to release games
Eric7100
This is the Rev release that I had been looking forward to the most. I kept asking Rev about it, got the customary "soon" response, and eventually gave up.

+the1hatman
Some questions Rev... Is the basketball on Go For The Gold the NBA version or Slam Dunk? Is the Skiing the original US Ski Team version or Mountain Madness? Is the hockey the NHL version or Slap Shot? Is the soccer the NASL version or World Cup? Is the Tennis the original or Championship version? Have any tweaks been made to any of the games? Can't wait to see this one come out. Love that overlay too! mr_me
Minor modifications to the original Mattel games. "Keith modified their code to remove designations such as HOME and VISITOR from the scores to make them look more like Olympic events." http://www.intellivisionlives.com/bluesky/games/credits/1984.html#gold

+the1hatman
Is this still alive? Yeah, even as just a board release this would be awesome. Especially if it still came with that patch ?
