flashbackmatt
Greetings Apple II sub-forum. After years of keeping an eye out locally for a IIGS, and failing, I finally got one off of shopgoodwill.com. I'm waiting for an ADB keyboard to get here from eBay so I can do more than just power it up Also took a chance on an untested Platinum IIE, other than some scuffs and yellowing it seems to work, too. That one I can at least play some cassette games off of WAV files.

flashbackmatt
Wash me! That is next on my list. I'm out of cans of compressed air, and I don't want to ESD anything by using a vacuum cleaner.
spacecadet
Nice. Is that the 1.5MB RAM card or one of the later 4MB ones?
flashbackmatt
Nice. Is that the 1.5MB RAM card or one of the later 4MB ones? I'm not sure, I don't have a keyboard for it, yet. I have a NOS Design keyboard on the way. Is there a way to tell just by looking at the card itself?
flashbackmatt
The IIGS had a SuperSonic Digitizer card, and the IIE a Digicard D-NET card installed. I pulled both of them out. Since I will mostly be playing games and tinkering with programming, I'm not sure if either of them are useful.

flashbackmatt
I didn't run it through my dishwasher, but some compressed air and a soft brush got most of it I still want to pull all the keys, clean and retrobrite them and the case. Well the Digicard D-NET card won't give you much, but the SuperSonic is a stereo card as well as a digitizer (the digitizer is the daughter-board plugged into the SuperSonic). If you want stereo sound/music from your games (and who doesn't!?), I would suggest at least using the SuperSonic (with or without the daughter digitizer card).

Thanks, I didn't realize that it was playback also, thought it was just capture.
