CollectorVision Phoenix Game Console

Recommended Posts

I was part of the Collectorvision Phoenix Early Access.

I am delighted with my purchase. It was well worth the wait in my opinion.

Just to confirm though, they won't start shipping until the end of the month correct? It works out better for me if it's not until at least the 25th

With the Atari VCS turning out to be a bust I'm sure many are happy the Phoenix is close to completion.

If you're part of the first batch, then your Phoenix is probably in this picture

I hope for you it is not that ones,  if you look closer, you will see that for the second the 4th pin of the FPGA is unsoldered.  :)

You must have some good xray vision to see an unsoldered BGA 😜

Just a thought, but what if a controller was developed like the original, but had a screw-off Joystick cap/shaft that could be replaced with a different handle for people who want something taller with a ball on top (like an arcade joystick)? That way, aftermarket pieces would be a possibility....

I know the unit does not come with a controller, but I assume that will be something in the future and just an idea :)
