Flojomojo
I was banned from the atarilife facebook page. I wonder why. Hm, I guess that's why they haven't had many visitor posts lately? This is from six weeks ago. I just noticed that "Atari" the brand missed out on planting a flag, cos this guy doesn't look like their usual band of idiots The Atari VCS Facebook page has some interesting characters, too. Is it weird to have an Antonio Papas and an Anton Papadopoulos in the same discussion, both taking the side of the scammer? Especially with Antonio Papas posting zero details but using the same avatar as one of our own members? Just a coincidence, right? Like having multiple Holgers in the IndieGogo. Hey! Super Bowl is THIS WEEKEND! Maybe Atari will surprise us. And maybe they'll release the system early!!
+frankodragon
Still anyone who knows how to use a knife/scissors (except maybe a psychotic killer) and a glue gun can make their own speaker hat for less than $20.
Flojomojo
Edit: I read this wrong. It's ATARI'S lawyer that changed to another firm. I doubt that means anything to us, other than my citizen PACER account still works (you can get one, too) and that I will need occasional reminders to check the docket. Feargal's lawyer is at another firm.pdf Fact discovery is due no later than February 8th.

Flojomojo
Gaaah, right you are; I can't read this stuff, I had it backwards. It's ATARI's lawyer that changed firms. Fixed my post. Attachment is named wrong. C'est la vie. The new firm is this place, which has been in the news lately for suing Epic for using popular dance moves in Fortnite. They list their "notable clients" as Atari SA UBS BP Bank of America Merrill Lynch Morgan Stanley Castle Oak Securities Toyota US Government Denver G. Edwards is the attorney from the Atari side. On their team page, check out the guy listed immediately below him, a "titan in the field of intellectual property." I'm glad Feargal doesn't have to fight that dude! None of them seem like the sort of folks with whom I'd want to have a beer.

digdugnate
This 'interview' is so full of baloney I'm surprised he's not working for Oscar Mayer. Here are my favorite Q/A: . With a background in finance and the law, what led you to the video game industry in your career? I’ve always been interested in the business of the video game industry and in 2001 I became part of the management team of the Atari Group. In 2007, I left Atari to create the company I2G which produced the hit franchise Jillian Michaels: Fitness Ultimatum for the Nintendo Wii and an online survival multiplayer, among many other games. When Atari fell in bankruptcy in 2013, I returned because I have always been a fan of the brand and believe in the great potential it has to offer to our global audience, and I am now its largest shareholder. . Atari has been a leader in video game production since its founding in 1972. What are the challenges and advantages of this legacy on continuing to create new products over 40 years later? I think we share similar challenges as other legacy brands, but some challenges Atari faces include how to remain relevant in the rapidly changing video game industry and how to keep consumers engaged when there is so much content instantly available that is competing for people’s attention. On the other hand, the Atari brand is a big advantage for us because Atari is an evergreen brand that resonates with people all over the world and transcends generations. The Atari (Fuji) logo is very iconic and recognizable and that keeps the brand popular among our legions of fans. I don't know about you guys, but I can rest easy knowing that he was the driving force behind 'Jillian Michaels: Fitness Ultimatum for the Nintendo Wii' and keeping consumers engaged!
Flojomojo
We might as well quote the rest of it. I thought the other two parts were funnier. Q. Since 2013, you’ve been Chairman & CEO of the French holding company Atari, SA. Can you explain the responsibilities of your position? I’m leading Atari’s comeback and resurgence in the market by rebooting the brand and expanding Atari’s global portfolio of properties. Beyond gaming, I am broadening the Atari brand into different business verticals such as online casinos, entertainment, and blockchain technology. Q. What is the difference between the video game industry in France and the United States? How are they connected? The video game industry in France and United States are both connected by their expertise in producing quality games that appeal to a global audience. I would say that to be successful, you cannot miss the US market, you have to be there, while France has less of an impact as far as our games are concerned.

A 30 second SB ad this year is $5.2 million, which would kind of destroy the whole "let's steal $3 million from gullible morons" crowdfunding campaign. godslabrat
Burger King did tacos for a while. It was basically one of their cheeseburgers stuffed in a tortilla and then deep fried. godslabrat
Which is like telling an ugly person they have a great personality. Really good comparison. There are a lot of foods I wouldn't go out of my way for, but if they happen to be in front of me... why not? BK Tacos for that description.
