Flojomojo
PIGEON TIPS FOR SOCIAL MEDIA FROM ATARI AND UBERSTRATEGIST: 1. When in doubt, pander! If someone says, "I like X," just reply, "Yeah, X is the best!" The best part about this, you don't even have to know what X is. Try to be as much like ELIZA as you can, because strong personalities can bring out people with opinions, and we don't want that. 2. For more advanced pandering, use timely references so that your audience understands. For example, Atari was a 1970s thing. John Belushi was a 1970s thing, and that's also when Star Trek was in syndication on television (note: "television" is from the old days, when people would watch shows at home on a boxy screen thing). It's perfect! Just be sure to avoid making any specific promises. 3. If someone pushes you on details you don't have, just play dumb/be yourself. Push back about how you've been very clear about "messaging" but stick to the one fact you've already released. If you stray from talking points, they might ask you embarrassing questions that could compromise the project. 4. If you make a mistake, don't worry. It doesn't matter if you know what you're talking about, because if someone asks specific, difficult questions based on information you've given, remember that you can always delete it! For example, when we posted a stolen image of a pile of Atari cartridges and implied that most of them would be on the new console interactive media device, all we needed to do was remove it! Problem solved. No more difficult questions. Don't worry, our backers aren't paying much attention to details, so this never happened! But seriously, what happened to that message, and why did it go away? Does "Atari" feel any remorse, or are they just going to blame people for "spreading misinformation?" It would be cool if someone were to ask them what was up with that. 4

AtariLeaf
Wow that atarivcs facebook page is a dumpster fire. It is entertaining to say the least. I love being called a troll for pointing out the obvious though. Always a good time 3

Just like Atari, SA tried to do investment-crowdfunding with Roller Coaster Tycoon for the Switch, so goes Gearbox with Homeworld 3 It'll end up being an Epic Exclusive so don't bother with the crowdfunding, we already have a massive disappointment coming up in 2020 anyways... racerx
I only post as myself. Apparently every single person that finally gets tired of Atari's schtick and speaks up is a troll account. These guys are unmitigated psychos. 1
MrBeefy
Psycho might be a bit harsh. Some recognize they are just getting a lite PC. Others are overly 'hopeful'. I do think they are obsessed with us though. Or well at least myself. I'm flattered really. 3

To be sure, there are some realists that know what kind of product they're likely to get and are fine with that. Good for them...I'm actually happy for anyone that's gone in with eyes wide open and is happy with their purchase. No, I'm talking about the whack jobs that actually think that every VCS post is attracting ten "troll accounts" and embark on quixotic crusades to stifle any dissent, criticism, and concerns. These guys have lost all connection to reality.

What is funny about how excited they were is that they can already do that on something a 10th of the price. 1
