(A note to game developers who insist on using "retro-style" blocky pixel graphics: the only thing more amateurish than combining blocky graphics and smooth antialiased text on the same screen ... is combining blocky text and smooth antialiased text on the same screen!  Also, if you want to use blocky pixel graphics and text, at least make sure that the "pixels" are the same size across all of your assets, otherwise your "retro-style" motif will look every bit as fake as it is.)
