gorgh
Congratulations to the winners! I thought the guys will win, there had to be lots of work with the questions, well deserved! Here's our game, couple things had been changed/improved comparing to the contest version-removed 2 typos in the initial screen-removed a bug with disapearing bonus after death-added flashing map indicator (thanks Adam for the suggestion)Have fun, thank you for your votes, and please suggest what can be improved, till the next contest! kowalsky.xex

+slx
Knowledge quiz won ABBUC ? No Action shooting game ? I do not understand But congrats to winners !It was really very slick visually, so I think it deserves first place. The 2nd and 3rd were impressive, too. With the ‚blob game‘ I probably didn‘t really ‚get‘ it. I didn‘t vote, though, as I thought I‘d have one more week. freetz
Good job I checked this! Just done my vote. Good luck to all I'm sorry, but at 6:48 PM local time here, everyone was already having dinner and the voting was done two hours ago. I don't really understand why people wait almost two months to cast their vote. A few days ago, 12 people had voted, but this afternoon it was 23 and yours would have been the 24th, so 50% vote within the last two days (and others seem to have liked to wait one more week ). Why was everyone so keen on having the games available at the earliest possible moment and then forget/don't bother to vote?
snicklin
Here's our game, couple things had been changed/improved comparing to the contest version -removed 2 typos in the initial screen -removed a bug with disapearing bonus after death -added flashing map indicator (thanks Adam for the suggestion) Have fun, thank you for your votes, and please suggest what can be improved, till the next contest! I've really enjoyed this game, it is a bit different to the type that you normally get on the Atari. I'm sure other people can quote many examples, but I can't remember any others where you climb walls (girders) as well as walk on the platform. The music is great and the animation is well done. The only improvement I can think of would be to allow some of the men to crouch down, to shoot a lower bullet.

Errrmmm, found another simple typo in the onscreen instructions: Solider instead of Soldier. But that's easy to fix! Use a disk/sector editor and search for the wrong word, then type in the correct word and save... (done in 5 seconds). Congrats for the 2nd place! I was quite sure that either Kowalsky or Millionaire would make it to the top... Now I am happily waiting for your new game... Thanks and great job on Kowalksy's Fury! I love the animation and the aesthetic of the solid-colored silhouettes in the game. From that aspect It made me think of Nidhogg...

bfollett
Ok, here's the FIXED version, please download and share this new version, there was a serious bug with shooting, not all found it but for some it made the game too easy A typo is also fixed (thanks Charlie!) I found a few bugs or issues right away while playing. First I got within one pixel of an enemy and from that position neither the enemy's or my own shots could hit each other. See the first youtube video Bug1. Second, At the start of a game I just died immediately. See youtube video Bug2 at about 19 seconds. Third, If you fall off a platform right at the very edge, sometimes your next life does not start completely on the platform and you fall to your death over and over again. See youtube video Bug2 at about 1m25sec. I also noticed while walking around that you often don't stop exactly where you let go of the joystick. Often your character jump over about the width of the character and then stops. You can see that throughout the video. Kowalsky's Fury : Awesome game! Great playability. I love how the maze is different every time. I'd play this 100 times before Millionaire - regardless of it's slick graphics. Kali
Hello there mate, From your posts back from 2004 and 2018, I can see that you knew Sorin Pascu...? I searched for my father online and came across your posts. I am his child and would like to know more about my dead father, who died back then in 2006. My family Members sadly wont tell me much about him, do you still remember how he was..? I really want to know how my father was back then Yours sincerely Kali 07.05.
