Sinphaltimus
Still have to touch up painting to do but it's otherwise done. ATX PSU, Front panel LED Power button, Front Panel LED Power and FDD, DF0: GoTek w/flashfloppy and rotary push button mod - OLED, DF1: external mounted internally, Vampire A500V2 with SD-Net (TCP/IP), 32GB SSD, USB Keyboard Adaptor with wireless keyboard, USB mouse adaptor with PS2 rollerball mouse. Hand Painted case, C= logo and Red Amiga faceplate from original A500.V2+label customized and printed, Boing Ball from previous PC sticker I had - decided to cut out the ball and use on GoTek rotary Knob, it was the perfect size.
Sinphaltimus
I guess it's a work in progress as opposed to being complete - Did some more things to the old Amiga yesterday.Installed another floppy drive. DF0: = GoTek, DF1: = Comana External and DF2: = Generic External. Replaced original SDNet with ARANANET adaptor since it has a built in microSD. Used microSD extender to bring sd slot to the front of case (same bay as Comana Floppy drive). Moved the GoTek forward to expose the face. Still to do: Custom faceplate for Comana and SD slot. Paint face of GoTek, Comana and DF2 black. Change out LEDS (all white for now) for RED = Power, Green = floppy access and YELLOW = HDD. Connect HDD LED to ide pins of Vampire for HDD activity. Touch up, a lot of touch up painting. Edited February 19, 2018 by Sinphaltimus

cobracon
I really like the looks of your machine. Looks really nice. Do you have and pics of the inside? I love to see the insides of these tower mods.
Sinphaltimus
None recent but I did order some 3.5" brackets with faceplates for the 5.25" bays. They'll be here in 1-4 weeks and I will need to crack it open again. It's not elegant inside by any means, that won't deter me tho'.I have a public album on facebook where i keep as many of my project photos as i can remember to upload. There are a lot of progress photos starting with the original A500 before the case damage that sparked this project into existance.I hope you find it interesting - This link DOES NOT require you to have a facebook account. In case you hate facebook. It's just a public photo album I think you might enjoy...>>>HERE<<<
cobracon
Thanks for the link. Looks like a lot of custom work. Wish I had the skills to pull off something like this. Someday maybe. Keep the updates coming and thanks for sharing your journey with us.

Sinphaltimus
The object of this ATX tower mod was to spend as little money as possible and use as much crap as I already had laying around the house to make it happen. But then someone in one of the Amiga groups pointed me to these 5.25" bay trays that were only $3 each on ebay. I couldn't resist. They will replace my poor dremel skills... Sinphaltimus
Looks nice! Btw: are you running Core 2.7 and the latest ApolloOS yet? Yes, I am. I am currently transfering my data from one hard drive to the next. If you apply the .img image file to a device that is greater than 32GB, then you will not be able to access the remainder. I had applied the image to a 320GB HDD without knowing this. I already began customizing it and getting things to my liking so i didn't want to have to start all over again. Ended up cloning my HDD so I can boot to it in winUAE then repartition the original using up most of the 320GB HDD. The files are still copying back. for a few hours now. They sure crammed a lot of stuff into the 32GB image. I think the programming drawer is larger than the Games drawer.

+save2600
^ Wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for all the dongles we want hanging off our Vamps. One that some might not necessarily realize they need, is a Jtag extender. You'll realize soon enough you want easy access to that puppy the first time you brick your system performing an update. Already installed LOL But temporary until I get the rear panel redone. I'm waiting to see their USB solution. If I can use it for KB/Mouse then I don't have to do anything more to the back panel design but if I can't then I don't want to attach a new back panel that I'm going to have to cut into later. So until then. It's this functional mess.
Sinphaltimus
Custom install of OS3.9 is a work in progress. See it boot up - >>>HERE<<<
Sinphaltimus
So since last update I sanded the tower and gave it another coat of paint. Almost done, still some minor touch up to complete that I only notice when taking photos under lighted conditions. Some photos under bright light, some (the much darker ones) are under natural lighting conditions.I see some are getting uploaded sideways again. i don't know why this only happens on AA but it's too much trouble to deal with at this moment. If there is a way to rotate them here, i don't know how to do it.

+OLD CS1
AtariAge has galleries, too. Keeps us FaceF-ckBook-phobes happy :DBT BTW, that is super pretty. You should sneak it up to the Faire this year.
Sinphaltimus
Well facebook now allows for link sharing to the general public without a facebook account. That's what that link is. No one needs an account to view that gallery. the only reason I haven't added them to the galleries here is all the damn uploads. I have real shitty internet 1up/3down in a house full of computers, gadgets, smartphones and smart TVs.
