Allen Schweitzer
I got this 2600 A and I've never seen this before. This is on the back bottom of the case. There is some sort of sticker over it and a factory indention where the sticker has been applied. This had a Rev 9 board in it, and I'm trying to figure out what the heck is going on here. It will soon be recapped, cleaned up and sold, but I sure would like to know what's going on here if any body knows. I appreciate it. Thank you! CPUWIZ
It's a reused case, I have come across them a few times, this was done by Atari. Oh, and your camera has a bunk date.
Allen Schweitzer
Yes, now that you say that, I can see that it would "fit" my 6 switch. They must have had some extra bottoms to get rid of when they downgraded to the "model A". And I'm too lazy to set the date on that camera every time... SignGuy81
Oh, and your camera has a bunk date. CPUWIZ is a stickler on that.
Supergun
Really? I never noticed that.
SignGuy81
Really? I never noticed that. I was exaggerating a bit but he said something to me before too because I didn't set the date/time on a photo. alex_79
I have a SECAM console with a case like that.I would have to check, but IIRC it's slightly different from the older 6-switch cases, as it additionally has the two small posts to hold the 4-switch PCB. So it should fit both models. The following picture shows the posts I'm talking about in a standard 4-switch case:
InfoMan
I've got at least one like that and have wondered about it.
Osgeld
Ya I have ran into them as well I assume they are from a time when they were moving production from 6 as models to 4 and had leftover parts. I have even had a few with 6 switch tops with the switchplate replaced one being a Sunnyvale 4 switch model Also they tend to pop up on factory refurbs
Allen Schweitzer
I think one of you should buy it off e-bay and let me know what you think of it! (just kidding)
