I was going to reach out to you and Nathan before doing the upcoming show featuring the QuadTari, probably the first show back after the Atari Homebrew Awards. ? You're welcome! 4 minutes ago, ZeroPage Homebrew said: Just out of curiosity, for weird edge cases, could you hook up multiple AtariVox's? - Port 1: Joystick | Port 2: Savekey/AtariVox | Port 3: Joystick | Port 4: Savekey/AtariVox (for two voices at the same time?) - Port 1, 2, 3 & 4: Savekey/AtariVox (a chorus of AtariVox's?) Yes, those scenarios would work. Actually, I tested WoW Arcade with two AtariVoxs (one in port 2 and one in port 4) and it detected the Avox in port 2 but played the voice and saved high scores in port 4. As I mentioned above, in hindsight I should have had the detection and writing/reading to the SavekeyAvox be done with the same value of DUMPPORTS for both, but since the game doesn't support 3 players you should just plug the Atarivox/Savekey directly to the Atari anyway. Regarding the multiple Atarivoxs, the only limiting factor would be the time it takes a bunch of scanlines write data to the Atarivox. So although possible, it's certainly not practical to use more that Atarivox at a time as there would be very little time left to do anything else. However, if this is all your program was doing (playing voices/Avox sound effects) and with some clever programming (write to one during vblank and anothe during overscan, or stagger the commands every other frame, etc.) I'm sure something cool could be accompished! gauauu
Quote You're welcome! I didn't know either until I saw James' post on FB this morning I was keeping it quiet at first -- mostly opened preorders as a way to test to make sure my website ordering system worked well, and didn't expect folks to notice it yet ? Thanks for writing up that QT faq @johnnywc! I've done a poor job keeping things up-to-date regarding the project, but I appreciate the interest from everyone! I was planning to create a big thread about it all once I got my last shipment and was ready to fulfill orders, but I guess I should have been more ready for the flood of interest after James showed it off ? I'll get that started here soon. 9 hours ago, ZeroPage Homebrew said: - Port 1: Joystick | Port 2: Savekey/AtariVox | Port 3: Joystick | Port 4: Savekey/AtariVox (for two voices at the same time?) EDIT: Now that I know what I'm looking for, it's really obvious that there's an issue. See below... Just got a chance to run the binary in Stella and through the console. Here they are side by side: There's definitely some pixel aspect differences, which but everything else looks pretty good. Oh wait.... now that the system's been on a while.. here's another screenshot comparison: Seems to be a similar issue I've seen with Pesco and Omegamatrix's menu on my system where things start to change once the system is warmed up. Ugh! ? Time to throw the system out the window? What I can do to fix this? This is excellent information, thanks for figuring this out Andrew! I'll definitely give out this suggestion to try if someone else is having similar issues. I know I've had to turn off browser acceleration in the past on my own computer if I have to capture video from it. - James @ZeroPage Homebrew Could you (and anyone else with font spacing issues) please try the attached and see if it has fixed the issue? +stephena
Just wanted to say thanks again to @ZeroPage Homebrew for arranging this, and for being given the lifetime achievement award. Honestly, my video didn't go as well as I would have liked. I had planned to say a few other things, but when I got in front of the camera, I got that "deer in the headlights" look, and forgot what I wanted to say. I can express myself much better in text. I just wanted to expand on my thanks again, to include the current Stella team (@Thomas Jentzsch and @DirtyHairy), as well as other contributors to Stella (Brad Mott, @SpiceWare, Eckhard Stolberg, Brian Watson, etc). And also to say that @Thomas Jentzsch was right; I was working alone for over 10 years. In fact, if the current members hadn't come along in 2017, I probably wouldn't have continued. So the huge increase in features in the past few years, and my continued involvement, are in large part due to them. And finally, to all other people that contributed code patches, hardware or monetary donations, feedback and constructive criticism, THANKS. I wouldn't have stayed at the project this long if not for all of you. There, I said what I wanted to say. Too bad I couldn't have done that in the interview ?
Lillapojkenpåön
I wish I had your ability to look and sound cool as a cucumber while feeling nervous, my voice and face makes distorted artistic interpretations of my feelings. Has the trophy's nickname ever been the "Stella" as in "And the Stella goes to.." or did I imagine that? Sounds to good to not be true.
+ZeroPage Homebrew
Thank you so much! Congratulations to all the developers this year who made a homebrew game, the nominees and the winners of the 3rd Annual Atari Homebrew Awards! The show was a lot of fun, thank you everyone for tuning in and making it the most watched show of ZeroPage Homebrew in the three years we've been streaming! I've unhidden all the voting so you can all see the results of the voting and you can watch the full stream of the 3rd Atari Homebrew Awards on Twitch and tomorrow when it's posted on our YouTube channel. Time to lay down and rest for a day... Thank you for all your messages and I will answer them as soon as I've recuperated! ? - James Edited February 7, 2021 by ZeroPage Homebrew 12

Thomas Jentzsch
Great show! Thanks to everybody who participated. After just three years, the AHA have IMO become the major event of Atari homebrewing, just like the Oscars are for movies. And with almost as many categories. BTW: I like calling them "Stella". And before the show started, we had a lot ideas for even more categories. Edited February 7, 2021 by Thomas Jentzsch 4
