+MrFish
What do you think would be some of the best new games to have on the 8-bits? Don't include anything that would just be a novelty or a "me too" title, but titles you think you'd really enjoy having and spend solid time playing. Rank them from 1 to 5, 10, or whatever (highest ranking at #1). Note: you can also include remaking titles that already exist on the 8-bits that you think need updating (like for instance a graphical update for Dig Dug, etc.).

FifthPlayer
Two modern franchises that would be interesting to see would be 1) Pokémon and 2) Animal Crossing. Both games offer challenges in cramming all that content into an 8-bit format, but in both cases I would enjoy the 8-bit artwork for the characters. Pokémon especially, given its handheld roots, would scale down best to the A8 and still be an engaging title. Fox-1 / mnx
1. Pitfall II. It's good as is but an updated version would be even better. Replace the flat white/brown creature P/M's with something more colorful. Ability to create custom levels with external editor. Option to save game when returning to restart position. Multiple musics. I like the original one but it gets boring after a while.

+MrFish
2. Bubble Pop Bubble Pop is based on Puzzle Bobble or Bust-A-Move. There was this game that was done a few years back. Not exactly a full-blown version, but cool in its own right. I think it was the product of some Polish Atari party. I'd still like to see a better version of the game though. Something closer to the original Puzzle Bobble. Balz.xex 3. AvSI (Arkanoid vs Space Invaders) Interesting idea. I checked out a YouTube vid for a few minutes. I'll take a closer look later. 4. Monument Valley This looks like some sort of M.C. Escher type of world that you have to navigate through. I want to take a closer look at this one too. +MrFish
1. Empire (or Civilization [emoji6]) There was this demo version of Civilization for the Ataris. I don't think you can do much with it, as far as playing the game. It looks pretty cool though. There are probably some Civilization/Empire type of games for the system, but I'm not really familiar with them. +MrFish
Ultima III gold version 3 Ultima IV with music 2 Ultima V 2 (still haven't played it but I do already have PC version so...) I think everyone would like to see more from the Ultima series. Alternate Reality City and Dungeon for CAR if possible? 1 There was this proto version done for cart. I'm not sure how limited it is. I'm pretty sure you can only play a temporary character. Although, in emulation (at least) you could use save states to continue a game for a number of sessions. Alternate Reality (Proto).rom Some of the top NES titles like a Zelda or Super Maro Bros. 3, etc? I never played them. 1 I suppose any big NES title would be welcome. Multiple musics. I like the original one but it gets boring after a while. The A8's are capable of better. I guess it's universally agreed that we got only slightly updated versions of the 2600 games from Activision. I suppose the music was revolutionary enough on a 2600, but for an A8 that theme does get tiresome. I also think the minor key version of the song that plays when your guy is sent back plays a little too long. They could send him back a little quicker. I prefer not to dwell on the fact that I screwed up in a game any longer than necessary.

Grover Torbel
Bubble Pop is based on Puzzle Bobble or Bust-A-Move. Apologies, I was mistaken about the name. I meant to reference "Bubble Blast", a puzzle game. Somehow I've never really cared for Bubble Pop (Bust-A-Move). [emoji846]

It could be made better that what it is. even a "Rescue From" goal... Fair enough; I liked watching the show myself in the 70's. I'm just going by some of the reviews I looked at. But it's fine if you like it for whatever reasons; everybody has their reasons for liking whatever they like; I just wanted to find out why it was in your top picks. Yes, I suppose any game that's ported over can be improved on in the process.
