Bill Loguidice
Bill Loguidice, is it confirmed AtGames is out and will not be involved with the next genesis/mega drive mini? If so, this is surprising. As others have said i really thought they were on track to get this next version right. I can't comment on the role AtGames is playing in the new console. Only Sega can officially comment on who is doing what (and of the course the why, when, etc.). In terms of AtGames products for this year (and generally coming out within the next month or so), we should have official announcements by no later than next week for most of them (at least most of the completely new stuff).

Anyway, I'm not ignoring anything, I've just been rather swamped for various reasons.
+Andrew Davie
17. Boulder Dash Since Thomas and I own the copyright to the software/code, and First Star Software owns the IP for the game, and I most certainly haven't been approached about this... I am pretty sure that Boulder Dash does not appear on this product. If it does, that would be a very interesting development.

phoenixdownita
Just a heads up that I ended up being contacted by AtGames and will be reviewing a Blast! product on my channel Tuesday early AM PDT. .... and if you are fast enough https://www.atgames.us/products/arcade-flashback-blast you can purchase it for 0$ ... pretty sure the page should not be reachable but it seems I can start a checkin process, not sure I care to go thru with it just to see what happens, I'm jaded and my expectations on AtGames are so low that I REALLY don't care (std USPS shipping seems reasonable and they take Paypal) Also here: https://www.atgames.us/collections/all I can see there's something else that is new and called BOOM (also for 0$) ... someone should buy them both

atarifan88
It looks like the Atari Flashback 9 Gold will be a November release based on the Amazon & Game Stop listings: https://www.amazon.com/Atari-Flashback-9-Gold-Electronic-Games/dp/B07FFT5FPK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1537406500&sr=8-1&keywords=atari+flashback+9+gold https://www.gamestop.com/collectibles/consoles/atari-flashback-9-gold-hd/167278?cid=fds_10000777&CAWELAID=120192760000133484&CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=40662306639&CATCI=pla-18283950120&CATARGETID=120192760000102382&cadevice=c&gclid=Cj0KCQjwuafdBRDmARIsAPpBmVXmbHN19OPi6l056Qk37_AfQoqYhNRVjvZ4D71UF8d6tU6rgx3zAI0aAqIWEALw_wcB In the past, the release usually happened in October. I'm guessing this has something to do with making sure the version of Stella they use will be compatible with all the built in games. Here's to hoping version 5 works out and makes the R77 obsolete! Could you please list the official 20 games ? I see quite a few at http://atariage.com/forums/topic/120449-list-of-all-atari-2600-paddle-games/so I hope half of the Blast Vol 3 games are not just pong in a different color. Anyway I (I mean my son) would like this regarless. I would like see Kaboom! and Solar Storm. Your posting only has: Video Olympics/Pong and its many exciting variations? The Video Olympics games count as separate games because they're individually accessible from the menu, i.e., you go directly to that game variation.

EDIT: well the paddles are wireless so I presume there's a main unit body somewhere (not pictured) .... EDIT2: it seems all blast support save, resume, rewind so .... maybe it's just the lineup of games that matches ... my bad. The Arcade Legend may be interesting, let's see what it looks like in term of emulation. EDIT: The PR says "features 50 built-in arcade and home games" uh-oh, what are the "home-games" and what are the arced games? (this smells of Retrobit Super Rertrocade me-too ... bit I think it's fair game as long as the emus this time are legit)

In terms of the Legends console, it's a nice mix of arcade and home games. More info will be released soon, but yes, proper licensing all around.

Tanooki
That Legends one actually has me curious enough to follow how that one develops. I like the barely there game list so far as there are some mighty fine 80s and 90s titles there to bite into.

Any idea if these Blasts will be hackable to say add Kaboom or Solar Storm? Anyway that is a nice collection. I'll get this regardless, but no ac adaptor is included oh well have get another generic usb adaptor. Pretty sure it's not aimed at those of us who already have Namco, Capcom, and Data East collections for their sixth generation consoles, but it seems like it could be a real winner for someone looking for an all-in-one introduction to retrogaming. As such, I hope it's a big success! (Still hoping for a a more fully arcade-focused product myself someday, but hey, this is a step in the right direction!)
