KWKBOX
I just recently got a blast to the past when I came across some old video footage I was digitizing for backup off one of my old camcorders in the 90s. I was able to freeze frame the footage and get a good look at my game room in 1995 and decipher where I was at. It was incredible to think I was pushing a 133MHz 16 MB RAM Packard Bell as my gaming computer. I have had computers before this but they were mainly for office use and not purchased with the intent of gaming. This computer was fully intended to be the gaming machine of the day and I am surprised how much has changed since then. From what I have researched the computer was the Ultimate Machine of it's time partnering with Microsoft. Can anyone remember what they were gaming with in 1995? I was just curious how these specs would compare to see if it was really that big of a deal. I posted the footage for anyone interested in seeing my setup back then in the link below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRokeIzEpEw

Silverfleet
As far as consoles go, I had the following at the time: -Colecovision -NES -Genesis -Game Boy I did get my SNES in late 1995 for Christmas as well, but I was still doing most of my gaming on the Genesis or NES. I also got my 1st PC that year: a Gateway 2000 tower with a Pentium 166mhz with MMX Technology. I don't remember all the specs, but that thing was AWESOME. I had custom ordered it with my dad, and the total came out to be around $4000!!! It was great for playing all the latest games. I wish I kept it.

+save2600
In 1995, I had a complete (or near by then) U.S. TG-16 Collection (HuCards, not CD) and these other consoles and computers: TurboExpress handheld Amiga CD32 Atari 2600, 7800 and a Jaguar (CD bought later on clearance from Tiger Direct) Sega Genesis (no CD) with 32X and a Saturn SNES Intellivision Amiga 500 and an Amiga 1200 TI-99/4A ...the year before, sold my 486DX2 66mhz and then purchased an IBM Pentium 133mhz w/ Windows 95 from Radio Shack of all places! lol That computer is long gone of course, but I still have the powered speakers that came with it. Best computer speakers I've ever owned, now hooked to an Amiga 1000. By 1995, I had already sold my second C64, Lynx, 5200, Gameboy, Colecovision, second NES, Magnavox O2, Atari 400, Apple ][+, Mac Classic, Neo*Geo, Sega Master System, Mattel Aquarius, Timex Sinclair, a third Amiga 1000 and several Pong systems - oy! lol

Skippy B. Coyote
In 1995 I was 10 years old and playing Mortal Kombat and Sonic 3 & Knuckles on the Sega Genesis, as well as whatever games I could get my hands on for the Game Boy.
Montrealer
Had a SNES and 3DO. Was saving my money for an Ultra 64. I kept renting out Saturn and PSX from blockbuster tho, mostly to play VF2 and Tekken respectively
zzip
That was around when I built my first PC, so a 486DX4-100. Also had a Jaguar that I bought on clearance, but soon sold it.
deepthaw
1995 would have been... I probably still had an SNES, and I picked up a PlayStation 1 on release day. PC wise, I was probably still on my 486DX4/75 playing the hell out of Doom and later that year, Warcraft II.
KWKBOX
Wow looks like the SNES was dominating back then for most of you. I got a SNES from Funcoland a few months before the N64 came out and it was yellow. I remember quickly enjoying the staple classics of Castlevania IV, Super GnG, Super Metroid, Zelda, Super Mario World, and Mario Kart before I got an N64 on launch and never looked back for many years. Tanooki
I'm 1995 that's easy SNES Game Boy PC (DOS, Win95 was a buggy ass curse I tried, went through hell, and ignored until 98se.) I can't recall the dating on it but I'm fairly certain I had my Pentium 100 by then, all set and ready to go into college after summer.

empsolo
SNES and Gameboy for Consoles. Did do some minor gaming on Windows 95. Mostly strategy and RTSes. Though I did have a copy of NHL 95 for Windows for some reason. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
homerj
Goldstar 3DO. I probably got a PlayStation that year but I don't remember when exactly.
VectorGamer
I had a PlayStation but I was mostly gaming on my
Opry99er
NES, Sega Genesis, and TI-99/4A. All 3 were under our TV and we could swap em out pretty quickly since our TV had only one composite input. We were only a couple years away from the N64, which was our next step up from the Genesis. Never owned a PlayStation, but we did get a Dreamcast in 99 which was a complete mind-blow I was very sad to see that system go under.... such potential. dj_convoy
Master System, Genesis, Saturn towards the end of the year, 486 towards the end of the year, maybe the 5200 if I had drug it out of mothballs by then.
spacecadet
I had a Packard Bell Legend 2000 MultiMedia that I would have upgraded by then to some kind of 486 DX, though I don't remember if it was a DX2-66 or a DX4-75. I do know that it had 6MB of RAM and a 170MB hard drive. For consoles, I was still rockin' a Genesis, although I wasn't playing it much by then. I got my PS1 in January of 96.
Bill Loguidice
I believe at that time it was a Gateway 2000 Pentium 90 with 16MB RAM and a Sony Trinitron monitor. For consoles, I had PS1, SNES, Genesis, and several older computers and consoles.
ave1
I think it was 1995 or 96 when I upgraded my 33 MHz 486 Packard Bell computer to an 83 MHz processor. In '95 I played 80's consoles as well as Atari Jaguar, and (starting in November) a Playstation. Good year to be a gamer!
