mizapf #3829 Posted December 1, 2020 (edited) When you peek out of the window at night and are glad about "Homeoffice". (Yet another pseudo-anglizism in German; I guess you say "work from home" or WFH.) First snow here, right on time for December. It was not really expected after those warm November days (more than +10°C, I walked outside without a jacket.) I'm here at about 50°N latitude. +OLD CS1 #3831 Posted December 1, 2020 Home for me is around 47.9N, and had first snow in mid-October. During my last visit in 2019, I arrived the day before a blizzard. Was not going to stop me from making a day-trip. "If I didn't need to work, I wouldn't be here. I'd be back home on the Last Frontier." Also not the same song, but still fun for those who get it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilSgXcEMHmI
Omega-TI #3832 Posted December 1, 2020 In an attempt to make a 3D anaglyph image of your photo I got an unexpected result...
mizapf #3833 Posted December 1, 2020 (edited) Interesting. The lower maria (especially the one above the Tycho crater) seem to be in front, while the edges are further back. (When I am wearing anaglyph glasses for more than a few seconds, the Auto White Balance in my brain seems to become shifted. 🙂 ) Edited December 1, 2020 by mizapf
Omega-TI #3834 Posted December 1, 2020 I found out that my left eye is dominant today. I did a reverse on the red one (as in two opposing images) only to see the right hand object when viewing it.

mizapf #3836 Posted December 1, 2020 In the first 0.153 secs, I seem to see the left (red) console first, then I get into a state of visual confusion. 1

GDMike #3838 Posted December 2, 2020 (edited) Good "EYE" captain.... Im slow so I only saw the left computer image, since the one on the right was spelled in reverse... Edited December 2, 2020 by GDMike
Ed in SoDak #3839 Posted December 2, 2020 I have a Robert S White stereo camera. Tedious to mount the half-frame images to view them, but the results can be quite nice.

About 0:25 seconds in is drone footage showing cables unraveling and their catastrophic failing.
Omega-TI #3842 Posted December 7, 2020 It's nice and all that they have CHEAP wireless USB gamepad controllers for the PC like << THIS ONE >> at Amazon, but damn, WHY no affordable joystick types for old codgers like myself that cannot so diddly squat with these new fangled game pads? HOME AUTOMATION #3844 Posted December 7, 2020 Happy Chick!🐔 I got mine about 5 yrs. ago... haven't powered it up in as long. ... I seem to recall $8. The android KitKat 4.4 was about $37. But this belongs on the E-bay thread.

+OLD CS1 #3847 Posted December 16, 2020 Just want to point out how much Teespring sucks. I use it for my TI apparel store because they offered things others did not, and it is fairly easy. But its templates are pretty bad if you can find them. I had to dig through the blogs to find the "ugly sweater" template to make a TI-themed Christmas sweater, but both the template and the instructions are terrible, as is the explanation of what to expect. This is why I have not completed the leggings and joggers yet, as well. It would be so much better if just those aspects were corrected.
