Different connectors for Vic 20 power supplies?

Recommended Posts

Yup. The first version of the VIC-20 has a 9V AC input which is known as two-prong, being the power supply you've got. Actually it exists in 2 or 3 different versions, mainly NTSC vs PAL.

The second version of the VIC-20 also known as VIC-20CR (cost reduced) as a DIN style power connector which has the same pinout and voltages as the C64 series.

Your 9V AC transformer might be worth some money, as they're often lost or broken, plus that it is not very easy to find a 9V AC transformer capable of delivering those 2-3 A it is specified to do.
