SoundGammon
I dug out my Jag controller that I hacked to use with the 5200! A couple cuts to the circuit board, where the pad is and a couple of 220 ohm resisters and works great! The A button is the start button. The B & C are the top & bottom fire buttons. The option button is the reset button. The pause is....!
David Alexander
Wow, this is great. Is there anyway you would consider making some for sale.
SoundGammon
You'll have to send me a Jag controller and a 5200 joystick cable, I don't have spares!

SoundGammon
Here's a quick diagram! D Down & R Right go to 15, ground. U Up & L Left go to 9, High signal The slashes are the switches. You have to cut the common line going to up & left and attach a wire to that cut common line to pin 9. The common going to right & down go to pin 15 ground, also for top & bottom fire buttons! You'll need 2 (two) 220 ohm resistors to replace the pots in the 5200 controller.
CrazyChris
Does the keypad work?
SoundGammon
Does the keypad work? You have to hack those wires to! Not to hard. Just wish the overlays would fit!

+darryl1970
I am a little unclear from the schematics. Are these modifications made INSIDE the controller itself, or are all of these connections re-routed wires? Is it a matter of just finding the pinout for the Jaguar controller and matching things up? If so, a nice adapter box would be a nice way to go.
SoundGammon
I took the 5200 cable and wired it into a Jag controller. I doubt a adapter board would work because you don't use the controller pots and replace them with 2 220 resistors. I did this hack years ago with no help from a schematic.
