Working on a 2600 audio tracker...but I need sound

Recommended Posts

Is there a source I can use for Tia Audio simulation/emulation that's compatible with visual basic 2017.

I already looked into Stella and TiaTracker source code and seems to stray from my skill level :|.

You could always take the brute force approach by using samples... little scale has a free download online with every note sampled for every timbre.

I'm actually working with that method just forgot to mention it. I was having very hard time. Concidered making my samples into midi instruments but don't know how. :|

You could try making them into a soundfont (.sf2)

Trip2018 - let me know when you upload the soundfont! I think there does not exist such a thing on the net! SO I would love to have it to make 2 chanel atari 2600 songs! like in Bobby is going home :D

Here is the sound font. Atariage wouldn't accept the the extension .sf2 so I had to rename it as a .txt you'll have to rename it back to .sf2.

Also the keys do not represent notes on a piano, they take up the first 31 keys and represent the 31 sounds of the 10 instrument (excluding duplicates).

I have no experience with it, but you could try looking into this:

https://archive.codeplex.com/?p=fluidsynthwrapper

It looks like it can handle soundfonts and has a wrapper for VB.

The link doesn't provide any download other than an archive copy of the page.

I'm just gonna give up and have it compile into a .bin and run on an emulator of choice, thanks anyways.
