leech
So, as much as current Atari gets ragged on for the Atari VCS, I'm thinking if they could get enough money to develop and bring back some sort of crazy contest like Sword Quest! Ha, even if they finished the damn Airworld, it'd be impressive. But to release something that has posters, and comic books and everything again would be rather cool, and I bet would make them some bank, assuming they still own the IP of Sword Quest. Coolcrab
I assume that PDFs of the comics exist, so if you want to keep it small maybe design some patches for the prizes. On the other hand the solutions are probably also on the internet. So if you really want to do it well, you should do a new series.
leech
Yeah, I was thinking they should do a new / updated series. I think that'd rock. Obviously they wouldn't be able to do the huge crazy grand prize that Atari was going to do back in the 80s, but something cool at least. Brian O
After seeing the Scramble manual, I think a Swordquest reboot with comics would be awesome.
DarQ Massacres
there was one point where I was going to design a contest like this, have a series of games with riddles leading to different goals, send the completed goal you get the next riddle. But I never ended up actually making it.
Flojomojo
That would require some creativity, artistic, and programming talents. Modern Atari doesn't seem interested in such things right now.
